Re: Ronnie's new runaround - Project VAN!

right with PV tomorrow i though i'd do a few finishing touches to the van

but the weather didnt wanna play!

decided id try and porno the rear window to stop looking in, and will look better when on show with having all the camping stuff in there!

had some film kicking around my room so had a measure up and cut out

after two failed attempts i gave up lol, wasnt easy as it was such a big window and doing it all over head and gravity wasnt playing ball, i could get all the bubbles out, but wouldnt sit nicely at the ends due to glass bein quite curved off at the ends, so took it to a mate who does window tinting for a living and he sorted me out

    professional job

got my new bulbs through the post too

    fitted them,

    before

    after

cant see much differance on the pics, but in real life its gone from a dull yellow to a nice white coulor

and then i put the matress in the back ready for the weekend camping, no tents for us

so first thing tomorrow morning i'm goin to pick up the 4 new tyres, didnt have time today, give it a quick blast off with the pressure washer and we're planning to leave about 11.30ish! gonna be the best fuel consumption trip ive made to santa pod ever

Re: Ronnie's new runaround - Project VAN!

right well as a weekends PV show update

got the new set of tyres fitted on the van! 100quid cash for 4

i'd certainly got my moneys worth out of them, 3 out of 4 were through the rubber to the canvas! woops

left ipswich lunchtime and it was pouring down, proper monsoon season!

but half way to the pod the rain faded, then carried on to full shunshine!

it had obvs been raining though as the camsite was very wet lol

we had a moat protecting camp lol

no need for setting up camp and a tent for me, just had to put the jusk in the front at night

gave it a fair clean sunday and had it on the mig stand!

    few of my mates nova (341 @ flywheel > 311bhp @ the WHEELS )

and we'd just let'd my mates corsa a month ago so he was trying to see what he could get out of that, 274bhp at the flywheel!

poor times from everyone across the weekend i thought, dunno if it was just too hot or what! the nova mannaged a 13.3 when he'd been running 13 flats before, and had changed his gear ratios and was hoping to creep in the 12's! and the corsa made a 14.3 when he was hoping mid 13's!

sat watching the strip all day and gettin sunburnt, was hot as hell as i'd packed for a wet weekend lol

came back to a near empty stand and a big que out for the exit

then the trip home! the two corsas are brothers and cept trying to race, older brother in the corsa B c20let younger brother in the black corsa C.... 1.2i lol

all got home safe and sound with no breakages first year lol and was the most cost effective drive down there i'd ever had ha ha!

saw alot of familar faces, and alot of cars in real life now, look very nice boys and girls! didnt know who they belonged to each car though lol good to speak to the people i did meet!
