| Simps' New Project Coupe Well with the departure of the nova any day now I need a toy to replace it. The original plan was to sit on the money and wait until probably winter or early next year before looking at a long list possibles.
One thing I did need to do however was find a £50-£100 car that is very low on insurance so I can swap it with the nova and get a mahoosive refund. The policy is a classic car policy and as such you get no refund for cancelling it.
I started searching during the week for such a car and found one fairly close by that fitted the bill perfectly. I went and had a look yesterday morning and it turns out bar a few scratches and dings the car is absolutely solid and a perfect base for a trackcar.
Its not a very common car expecially not used for this purpose.
I plan to get it home, strip it down to a bare shell to really see how clean it is. If it is then I'm gonna make my old XE fit I've got sat here and slowly transform it into a trackcar over winter.
The idea with this one is to build it very cheaply but concentrate on chassis and handling. With the idea being unlike the nova I won't be afraid to ding it on track so I can give it hell. I think this will help me learn tracks better and improve my driving.
Picking the car up later so pics to follow.
