So exactly how hard is it to fit the rear suspension from the calibra to the vectra? You said all but two of the mounts bolt up? does it fit with the standard floor or does it need clearancing? Which mounts didnt fit? Any pics?

yes mate 7degrees. Even with the tilt it would of still fouled the servo i think and with the rocking i didn't want it hitting. Once i have the mounts i'll mount it as close to 7degrees.

in the FWD car the engine naturally tilts forwards (onto the exhaust) to get more room at the back for the intake manifold and associated pipework, in the RWD escorts they tilt them for the same reason, although there's no power/running/reliability difference in it. the engines will run at 7 deg or completely vertical.

Reading on the sbd site it's more natural for the engine to lean 7degrees to the exhaust side. nothing to do with clearances but i can't give a techniqule answer as i'm not 100% sure.

Copied off vvoc as i'm to lazy to type again Going to pick up a welder in half hour so by the weekedn i should have the tunnel, firewall done.

Should the have the tunnel in place this week and start on the firewall. i've repositioned the engine and is sitting lower and got engine mounts just need to fabricate moutinng points on the subframe. not going to use the calibra rear subfame anymore as there's no adjustability on it at all so looking into a rear cadle only problem is gen wrc items go for 2k so looking into getting one made. when i get my phone back from 02 i'll stick the pics up as there on the memory card.
