Went to Trax on Sunday.

Witnessed a BRM rover smash itself twice into the central reservation, pulled up on the hard shoulder to witness a second rover copy him and also kiss the armco right opposite where I was parked

Decided it best to leave.
Passed a bent 200sx and CTR next to J15a services, and then further down the A43 saw 2 Calibras had had arse sex before a roundabout

The joys of trax

Only did one Track session throughout the whole day, and I probably chose the worst weather possible! Poured down with rain and standing water anyway. I can honestly say I've never driven on any surface like it - it was like driving in snow. My fear was probably hightened by the severe crash I'd witnessed earlier in the day, as I was still quite shook up about it.

A video is below anyway, and it makes me look like a girl, and the car look ****e. If I wanted to save face then I wouldn't have posted it; but unless you were on the track you couldn't explain how bad it was

I was amazed at how fast some of the other cars were going (white nova, CTR) to name just a few.

Enjoyed the day, but the weather really put a damper on things. At least I've learnt that Toyo T1S tyres REALLY don't like standing water

I did wonder why you were so slow. The nova was great! Funny you say about the T1s' as I did brands with T1-R's and was shocked with how much grip i had.

Seeing how quick that Rover smashed into the reservation this morning really scared me tbh. That nova was awesome; it just flew round.

Sorry I didn't manage to get any pics of you on the track Dave. I was out in the rain for about 3 hours but didn't spot you and when I did see your car parked up I couldn't find you

I watched most of the action from bank near Becketts and Chapel. Cars were passing at very slow speends (for the track) and still spinning off. Mostly due to driver error as many were hitting the brakes as they entered the right-left-right complex.

No problem mate. I was on track at 12.40 - thought the track might have dried out by then but it was probably actually one of the wetest sessions of the day

No picture update:

Wired up the fuel pump direct to the battery. Voltage increased from 11.7 volts at idle to 13.6 volts (i.e. battery)

Car seems to pull abit better but it's probably a placebo mod

Wired my horn back up (cut it out when I slimmed the wiring down

) and I've just ordered the bits to try and get the launch control on my MBE to work. Watch this space to see whether or not it will, LOL

Track-day booked at Oulton Park, PM, on October 1st

Had a good day out at York Dragway yesterday and managed to get a new PB of 13.73secs

Yeh, I'm feeling the rear camera the most tbh. Going to get a few bits of rubber to put under the front/rear mounts to hopefully absorb any vibrations
