I suppose if its a comuter it may get abit uncomfy though

| Yeah i have a momo wheel, so much nicer than the corsa ones...i was just going to modify the bracket that supports the column, thing is it feels quite high, but when you are driving harder 2 hands on wheel etc it feels spot on for me |

| Well the plan this weekend was to fit the light flywheel I got from vxlgsi
But being a lazy barsteward, and seeing the weather forecast I booked in at FPE in Keighley to have it fitted by my mates Mark and Matt (sounds like a boyband or something? )
So, we arrived nice and early and Matt got down to the job at hand.
I can seeee yoooou
Car Up
Car Higher up
Gearbox Out
Peekaboo
New Flywheel
It was at this point I found out that for some reason my car had a later 9.4kg flywheel fitted, so I was literally jumping about with excitement at loosing nigh-on 4kg from my flywheel weight
Eww, old big nasty flywheel
It was all bolted back together and worked like a charm. By god it's fkin quick. Revs like a coont and spins it way through 1st,2nd and 3rd now in the wet Really love it now
Oh, and I fitted my new Momo Racer steering wheel. I got it from gsijay on here (thanks mate ) unfortunately it had an early boss with it (non air-bag) so it wouldn't quite fit with the shroud on. Given that I'm northern (and therefore tight) I decided that rather than paying another 40quid on a boss, I'd just modify the shroud (hence the hole behind the steering wheel )
While at Marks we came to a deal over a corsa gsi front splitter. So that'll be going on 1night this week |

FPE is actually a lad that does engine work. he built the mk4 van LET thats in the pics, and did all the metal work/turbo fitting on wazpazs naughty cavalier. He works for his dad; the company is an industrial welding workshop; its huge. Mark has a corner of the workshop allocated for car stuff, lol
The flywheel is awesome, makes a massive difference. I'd never do a clutch without going lighter in future.

| Bumpers and arches have been removed and dropped off at the bodyshop to be painted.
Car is now off the road again for the moment It's either a rear wheel bearing has totally collapsed or I've fried the rear brakes; I think the latter. Will be removing the drum this evening and taking a look. Nevermind, I can't really drive it without bumpers anyway, lol |

| Is this staying as a poverty XE fun thrash-about Corsa?
Something I'd like to do, to be honest.

| Bumpers are getting painted as it's not sleeper-enough. Watched it being driven the other day and it looks like a half-done effort.
It is staying as a pure fast-road/track corsa, and weather and car permitting will be making a few quarter mile dashes this weekend.
Taken the drum off; bearings are OK. Just looks like the drum is catching on the shoes; gonna grind the lip of the drum and refit. If it still catches I guess the cylinder might have seized worst case though of course |
