Re: Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 XE Club

Nice one for keeping the heaters Dave. I really dont see the point in ditching a matrix & some ducting etc for the sake of a few KGs which could ruin a track day or time out playing through misted screens etc.

Re: Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 XE Club

just get a 12v blower to clear screen, job done, thats what ill be running in mine.

jamie226 off VS has similar blower too.

each to their own, the wiring behind the dash and under seats is a bitch to tidy, takes forever

Re: Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 XE Club

Yip; could have cut loads more out tbh. But I got lost in the wiring diagrams so gave up halfway through. Got rid of the obvious bits though

turn on everythign you need, start cutting out wires with what you can remember of the wiring diagram

When it stops working, youve ****ed up :P

Re: Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 XE Club

Fitted my square numberplate tonight to let the oil cooler and radiator have abit more air

Totally made a hash of the holes I'd drilled previously though, so I'll be cutting out the numberplate recess in full and putting some black mesh in its place.

Also fitted my Mtech nylon gear linkage bushes. No pictures as my hands were covered in oil and grease.

Re: Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 XE Club

dont worry, i thought id cut out my eleccy windows, stereo wiring and a few other bits....forgot to put hazard swtich in so wouldnt cut the wires....what i do....cut the hazard switch and no idea which wires where which when i realised.

then after tidying the wiring up, using half the dash etc...i ripped the whole lot out and used the bare essentials of the loom and made a new loom/switch panel etc

Re: Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 XE Club

Went to get camber/tracking done as the camber was way way off after replacing my springs some 7months ago

More Weight Saving:

Oh, weight saved by removing the aerial stump aswell and then filling it with a lightweight but adhesive material

PS. Anyone else still got their PV race numbers on?

Re: Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 XE Club

i would fit a sticky number plate underneath the bonnet pins, look cool and more weight saving than the square one

Re: Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 XE Club

Corsa_xe, it was at Gordons Tyres in Wakefield.

Sticky numberplates are lighter, but illegal

Last night was great, not.

Hopefully getting a bare XE at the weekend as a spare

Re: Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 XE Club

What was up with the plate? I've got one the same size, but with more trimmed off it. Standard font / spacing. Never had any problems.

Was it the lack of the maker's code?
