Astra Mk2 GTE LET/Mk3 Cavalier GTE Conversion

Some of you may remember i was given a Mk3 Cavalier SRi back last year. Well i dumped the ecotec and installed a LET, cleaned it all up and sold it due to wanting an Audi (big mistake!) Anyway the guy that bought the cavvy asked if i could take the LET out and put it in his project GTE. He gave me the Cavvy shell back so i bought the GTE engine and put that in the cavvy so i could have a runaround while the corsa is off the road (see here - http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/proje...ct-thread.html) It was done a while ago now but only just got round to doing this thread so here goes the pics:

The Cavalier as it was when i sold it:

The GTE as it arrived to me:

The the conversions commenced:

Still need a to get the linkages sorted on both, you have to trim the GTEs one down a bit which i did but it wasnt enough, and i need to strip my spare cav i have sitting about for its linkage as well as exhaust then the cavvy can run. The gte still needs its FMIC and rad plumbing in too but due to my back problem ive sent it off to the body shop so it can be sorted then come back to me for finishing when im better. So once i am better ill update this as i go along!

Did you drop the LET into the Astra or lower the car over the engine?

Wheeled the engine under on the pallet truck then lifted it into place with the crane. Car stayed at same height all the time
