| 20SEH Corsa GSI Hi thought id put up a thread for those of you interested. Basically im putting the 20seh 2.0 8v 130bhp engine into my corsa GSI. Plan is to give it a full rebuild renew everything and then lastly tweak some extra power out of it. If i get it running 150 bhp ill be very happy.
My doner car!
My car that will be getting the extra horses!
All in nice.....
Started to take out the loom and ecu
Ready to be lifted out
Out!!
Started to strip it down, Donvaux working hard (he really knows his stuff!)
My dad working hard...
Last job of today
Started saturday morning, by sunday night its all stripped down and ready to be taken to the engineers to be given a check over. For now im saving ready to start buying bits and pieces. I have also bought the irmscher inlet manifold that was for sale on here so cant wait to get my hands on that!!!
Thanks for looking, updates to follow, just gotta get Donvaux to make one now for his little project.
Block, crank, pistons on rods and all caps and shells delivered to Len Beck's 2/7/07 .
Bores are fine after 106k with just the normal wear on top of bore. Elected to save £300 by not going for rebore & pistons.
Only problem with crank is wear to oil pump journal up front.Problem solved! Joe Lyons, Brynmawr another ace firm, can resurface affected area.Crank also requires a polish.
New set of rings, shells, bolts and head & conversion gaskets ordered ,courtesy of Len Beck's.
Crank delivered to J. Lyons for reprofiling work to oil pump journal.

| Good luck with this Slash.
Lovely example of a Corsa you have there. Should be something a bit different to the norm when its all done.

| yeah i fancied something a bit different. Im hoping it will go well, im planning on tweaking it a little . i dont see why it would be much slower than a standard redtop corsa in standard form? |

| You may laugh at Len Becks shed but look where it is sited! Right next door to the main Vauxhall dealer in Newport. And guess who I saw there yesterday? Another workshop man from Vauxhalls.Used him for many years and he knows his stuff alright.

| Right ok been quiet for the last few days but some progress to report. The block and crank has been down engineers since monday. Block is sound but wearing was found on the front journal of the crank the part that drives the oil pump. After trying to source one with no luck it has been sent away to be built up with welds and filed down.
I have recieved main and big end bearings, oil rings and a full gasket set. (Note top quality gasket set)

You might be best to just try your local vaux!
