| Re: Smokin's 5door astra mk3 ;) Well havn't updated in ages.. Still need to do the skirts as I lost interest in the car tbh untill now. Here is the start of what I have been doing over the last week or so...
Rebonded the bonnet lip at the corners thats why it kept cracking.. left it grey for now
Started on the bad rear bumper bad because the 2pac paint didnt like the celly under it haha.. Mind even with all the work I did and cleaning before i stated to spray I dont think paint likes me.. The stuff has gone and peeled again so i will leave it for now and start again once the engine is in..
Now as I want to get the XE in before christmas I have made a start here is some of the jobs done..
New CV joints inner and outter here is the first..
the old ones on the floor
I now have the choice of which flywheel to use there is a pot type fitted to the engine and here is one i have got hold of
Fow said i can lend his engine hoist so will be done in no time i hope all i need is a new clutch .. So if anyone has a new kit for sale let me know.. |

| Re: Smokin's 5door astra mk3 ;) Right well the bolt holes on the flat fly wheel dont line up not even when put up next to the pot type. So with that and i want to get this in ASAP i will use the pot type flywheel and get a clutch kit to suit..
Here is how the car stands front wheels off and up on axle stands.. Covered with a nice shade of silver car cover...
More tomorrow front legs off wireing all off and drive shafts out along with all the oil etc |
