| Re: Smokin's 5door astra mk3 ;) looking good chap, and when that red top is in, i hope that you clear your head of ideas of buying a gsi, when theres really no need!you got everything of a gsi there in front of you, without the stupid insurance costs, and cost of trying to find a tidy gsi which isnt either full of rust, or priced stupidly high! |

only joking, its no longer for sale, i have plans! bodywork will getting done very soon, then after the summer im planning something special with the ecotec, at the moment its either bike carbs or if something ive seen takes effect, posibly turbo! |

| Re: Smokin's 5door astra mk3 ;) Mine died on the way home starting making strange sounds lol so i limpped home changed the rocker gaskit gave it an oil and filter change started it ok for a few sec's then died again. Hmmm checked the fuel just in the red well guess what it was out of fuel bloody fuel gauge lied to me :| but the one injector is tapping like a mofo got some off a guy here but dont know if i have the guts to touch them incase it dont work lol any takers ??
runs nice now pulls better and seems faster too lol need a new fuel filter tho  |

| Re: Smokin's 5door astra mk3 ;) Well I am over a young lady friends  just useing her laptop well she is getting me a cuppa hehe. I took the side skirts to work for agood wash with the jet wash  after being soaked in alloy wheel cleaner and then in tar and glue remover they came up nice and clean inside and out here are the after work photo's
Got a few jobs to do to the car tomorrow so I will tape them on to mark where i have to cut and mod the back parts  then i can get them ready for when I have the stuff to bond them to the car woohooo one less thing to get

| Re: Smokin's 5door astra mk3 ;) Well today i painted the archs in black hammerite to save them getting anymore water on the bits i have wire brushed back.
I also started to cut the 3dr skirts to fit my 5dr  I aint rich like drizz with his ts200 skirts hehe here are the photos so far.
Now its bond them onto the car smooth the back bit then start on the door moldings hehe

| Re: Smokin's 5door astra mk3 ;) We today's job was to repaint the grill so i started rubbing it down gave it a clean then sprayed the primer. Well i went for lunch and got back to a ****ty looking grill talk about paint react  . Anyway i spent the last hour useing paint stripper to take all the layers of paint off its now in the shed like a nice black bit of plastic  gonna wash it off in work tomorrow then rub it down fill any bits that need it and get some plastic primer  .

When you primer bits like you have up there, get the tape and fold the edge back on its self by about 3/4mm, this will give a softer edged line.
