Re: The 550 BHP Nova Build??

Re: The 550 BHP Nova Build??

Am i sad to see it go? Not in the slightest. If i was to keep it i would have wanted it painted again and ther are loads of bits i gegretted doing on it, like fitting full rear quarters and fitting the big wheels and big brakes.

O and as its my thread i dont expect anyone to lock it without asking me first.

Don't take it in a bitchy fashion.

You seem to want the nova build to come to an end so why not close it now before it maybe wanders off path? Was just a suggestion.

On topic, the aim of the build was 550bhp - what was the highest figure you managed to put down on the dyno? I know there were a lot of problems and still loads to come but what was it?

432 despite tv printing 440.

Its going for one last RR or dyno run in its current form and then it might see some changes to make it a bit more track usable.

Thats pretty darn good, especially no nos.

so you're putting the lump straight into the corsa, dyno'ing it then probably detuning for better track use?

a solid 300-350 will be perfect for the track imo be interesting to see what it can do though at full boost 432 is just a mid point should see 500+

Yep its going in exactly as it came out of the nova bar a standard clutch cable setup and probably a stock cam belt cover and rocker cover due to the fact if it ever ends up in the gravel it could save the engine.

Think i am going to drop to either a .63 housing (from a .82) on the gt3076 or fit a gt3071.

I would not change anything until you have had it mapped and used the car in anger.
The .63 may give it too much boost at low rpm, the gt3071 will run out of puff.
Because of the exhaust valve failure the power figure of 432BHP was made on three cylinders.
