    Re: My Nova's Rebirth

    Boring update.

Cars all masked up in the paint bay ready to have the wings and engine bay painted in the morning, so while its in there i thought i'd get a few boring bits painted..
    Washer jets repainted.

    Nut covers..

Made a lil stand for them..

    A coat of silver..

When i fitted my hids, the clip that holds the bulb in needs to be cut, so when i needed to fit a normal bulb for the mot i had to make up a new clip.. bit of old clay...lol can take the weight of the headlamp when holding the bulb...

Last thing i wanted to do was move where some of the water pipe run in the engine bay to the hearder tank..
    So make a hole here...

    Make a hole here...

Make up a pipe connector.. thats been chaged again since i took the pic..

    More tomoz...

    Re: My Nova's Rebirth

    Update.

Got to the bodyshop at 7, and finished masking the car up, cleaned out the paint bay..
    Steve did the painting...

How i done it home.. :P

Set about cleaning bits up, swaped my rear lights over, and gave the insides a fully clean out. Jhust need to pick which mats.. Vauxhall rubbers? or Vauxhall valour?

Just flat and polished the wings and bay, not happy with a bit on the wing, dsont think it had much lacquar on it as i've sanded thru
But theyve come up nice and flat...

Flat a bit on the bonnet too, as a bird shat on it, it was on there 3hours max and it had made burn marks, polished that up looks sexy.
Can clean it and put the front back together tomoz.

Wasn't sure on the wheels to begin with but seeing them there against the shiny paint, they really set the car off. One incredible nova. nice one!
my dad gave me some useful advice the other day..... 'if your not in bed by 10 son, come home'

arden blue is a right pig of a colour if theres not enough laquer on it, the basecoat just never seems to come up like polished laquer colour (if that makes sense)

yours looks fine though top job.

Never had any probs, just dont think he put as many coats on of lacquar on that wing, the other is fine.. flatted it back so its flat as funk, just how i like them.

Theres a burn mark on the wing,(last pic) has taken the colour off, am very pissed off, normal peeps might not notice tho..

    Re: My Nova's Rebirth

i meant when you go through the laquer, it never quite looks right, cos your cutting the flake so to speak.

i saw the burn mark , i got one under my sppoiler where i hit it with the mop at the wrong angle, luckily its under the spoiler.
