When u fit the ecotec baffleplate , then you have to cut oil pipe couple of mm`s. Standard oilpipe will sit dangerously close to sump and will half block the oilpipe. First sign of that is little bit more noise from lifters at cold start. BTW , really cool car m8

its cool get what you mean,

the oil pressure is normal, so it should be ok, my mates xe has it too and has been ok for about a year too,

Nice theory, but wrong IMO. Noisy lifters at startup is not a symptom of low oil pressure. Noisy lifter at ALL times would be.
Secondly, so many people have done this mod, I reckon it's passed it's trial stage by now.
My GTE has an oil pressure guage, which reads the same now as it did before fitting the Eco baffle.

2 out of 5 engines i have put together with ecotec baffleplate have had this problem and on closer inspection we discovered , that oil pick up sits too close to bottom (and all 5 had good oil pressure). So if u will have some problems with lifters , atleast you will know where to look first.

dan , i have oil pressure gauge in my dash and i did not notice any pressure changes after fitting ecotec baffle , but i did notice noisy lifters. And after taking it all apart again and cutting fiev mm off the pick up pipe the problem was gone again. So did my mates car.

And my theory was not about oil pressure but the amount of oil pump will flow , when pick up is half blocked. Two different things.

from where it hits the bottom , the little cone around the wire mesh , just fiev mm`s.

    Update....

Only a small one.. Been cleaning and tidying bits up..

The dizzy blank bit, dis-pack mount..and bits..

    Mount all sanded and clean.

    First coat of paint..

    2nd coat,

    Dispack blank thingie..
    Semi polished..

    After a bit more polising..

    Finished and lacquard.

    Cam cover semi polished.

    Finished being polished..

With the dispack mount was drying, I found these babys to hold it on as the org ones where a bit minging. Good old stainless weapons.

    Semi bolded back together..

Next. Take one custom made (by me) scuttle cover...

    Drill a hole...

    Then another..

What do you get? Holes for the washer pipes... Have blue silcon tubing for them..

Wiring for washer bottle all soilder to extend the loom...

    Thats its for the mo,
    Rear coilover turrets on order...
    New wheels floting about..
    Most planned.. Enjoy.
