    Re: My Nova's Rebirth

    Thank you very much Sir.

Cracked on this morning getting my mirrors re-fitted

    Much better.

Painted the inner part of the door hand too, as it had red over spray on it.

With the wing off i found i was using side repeaters with the orange cups still in them.. Eeww couldn't have that.

    Got them out right away..

    Much better..

Pick these up from Ebay, 4LED "super Xenon bright side light" bulbs, perfect as they look clear and clean but flash orange.

Also pick up my door cards this morning. Now these have cost more to have made than buying the leather seats at a steal.

Now i wanted something simple, with a standard kinda feel, but made better, but i needed away for the sound to come thru from the speakers behind. Spent ages looking at other people doors cards and came to this design as it was simple and nice. I'm happy with them..

Put the pockets back on, with a lil trimming on the rear for speaker clearance.

    On the car..

Fitted with new stainless screws and washers ofcorse..

Done to match the seats.. With the martial the headlining made from as the speaker cover part..

    Door closed..

Now had this a few weeks, have been waiting for LED lit window switches to be finished before i fitted it..

    Again matching the seats.

    Check out my stitching...

Fitted new leads to day, but still having the missing/bogging down prob. GGrrr

No last minute panic for the weekend then?

Gives it a much more modern look, I like.

Looking good Benn, how on earth are you still on A539's, I thought they were extinct!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"

    **** off, that's tasty.

I've always used carpet cleaner on my carpets/seats. Brings them up well enough, and mats over the top FTW.

They've been cleaned, steamed them before i fitted them (ok it was a while ago) Mat normally covers it tho.

    lol true.

    Car's been...

    Snow foamed,
    Washed,
    Clayed,
    Glazed,
    Waxed.

Fitted my new door handle on and hot glued them both on.
    Fixed my exhaust rattle too.
Bumper and boot trim back from the bodyshop both having been re-painted.

    Re: My Nova's Rebirth

Absolutley love your Nova Benn!! The attention to detail is unbelievable!! What way did you do the side repeaters to make them sit flush with the wing? As I don't recall seeing anything about them early on in the thread

Keep up the stunning work mate, it's definately worthy of a feature in TV! How much more work do you think you have to do before you class it as complete?

    Re: My Nova's Rebirth

Thank you very much Dave, the wings are done with two plates with a small strip welded in the middle to space it apart. One plate has the shape of the repeater, the other has a hole the shape of the repeater.

Tbh i don't think i'll ever class it as complete.
