Thumbs up first nova xe build

Easy all,

The engine gave up on the nova last night, luckly I bought a calibra a couple of weeks back with the intention of building an xe nova ON A BUDGET!

The Nova

front

side

Spec
1400 8v (carb) luxe
lowered 40mm
Apex springs n shocks front
Bilstein shocks Apex springs back
Group N 2.5" full exhaust system
Astra GTE alloys in matt black
Astra GTE Digi Dash
SR Seats
GSi Bumpers

The Calibra Donor


Spec
2.0 16v Redtop with a coscast head (apparantly - http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/engin...cast-head.html)
256mm calipers
5 spoke alloys

I've been suffering from flu for the past few days so havent done much at all but research. I have the valvers xe guide (if u want a copy email me) and this swedish guide. http://www.corsa-novatuning.nl/uk/PartsA.htm

with regards to strengthening - weld in plates, stitch weld the engine bay or non at all

I have compiled a list of parts please correct/tell me if anything is missing!
FUEL TANK - MPi fuel tank from a gte/gsi/sri as mine is good old carb!
RADIATOR - gte/gsi
DRIVESHAFTS - Was thinking of getting these - http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/items...ve-shafts.html
HUBS - Thinkin of getting these from the same chap^
ENGINE MOUNTS - same again
BRAIDED BRAKE LINES - Ebay jobby

Tell me if ive missed anything!

looking all good to me, body work in good nick mate nice 1, not a fan of the plasticy bumpers but hey not to worry get cracking on the redtop son!!!!

sounds good,
i dont like the idea of tuned down hubs tho,
i like custom/gsi shafts,

regarding the engine bay, i personally would weld in the harry hockley plates and seam/stitch weld it aswell

i'd just weld all the seam,and plate any rust...
