FFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!! thats some bad advice there

I also had the same dump valve and the screw on the top adjusts the spring tension on the piston to weak (ie wound out) and the valve wont close quick enough or at all if its out far enough leading to stalling and poor running.

Cheers peeps

Yeah I've found the best balance on the Blitz BOV so its loud but doesn't make the car cut out after dumping the clutch after a bit of abuse

I got a feeling that the blowing on the manifold where it joins to the turbo may be due to slight warpage of the flange which will mean it needs a skim
May have to take it apart on Sunday and get it skimmed on Monday if thats the case, will find out tomorrow when I get it back again lol (having new aircon pipe and oil cooler leak sorted)

Need to invest in some good tyres now and I think I might get a 360bhp remap until I can afford standalone management

Just dropped it back up there for the following to be looked at/fixed (for free as they done it):

* Aircon pipe to be replaced
* Oil leak on oil cooler pipe union fixed
* Hopefully stop manifold blowing (if not may have to come off for a skim )
* Funny noise to be investigated
* Clutch adjustment
* Last few days speedo has stopped working intermittently

When all the above is sorted then over next couple of weeks I will be relocating the battery to the boot, buying a proper non-restrictive induction pipe for turbo and then it will prob stay like that until I can afford the management

straight turbo intakes make so much difference, i made one for mine, spool up is loads quicker and it made full boost 400rpm earlier, even better if you can make one for £8 like i did

Nice one, will be sorting mine this week hopefully

Aircon pipe has now been replaced, oil leak fixed, know what funny noise is and speedo wire has been repaired otherwise the manifold is still blowing so yesterday took it off and found that the turbo side flange is warped which is why it was blowing
Will get it skimmed and see how it goes from there...

Have put standard one on for now anyway and thought Hmmmm that original cast looks a bit rough so 2 hours & 11 dremmel bits later, well see the pics

Got me rear strut brace on Thursday so fitted that over the weekend, had to cut the carpet in the back, was a bit fiddly but not impossible but looks ok anyway

Went out for a drive Fri night and after some hard driving I stopped at some lights where loads of smoke started pouring out of the bonnet, ohhhhh crap

Got out and there was oil dripping very fast from below... cut a long story short the oil cooler banjo joint bolt (see below pic) had come loose and it leaked like a mofo, the pavement pic was with the car running for like 30 seconds

Anyway tightened it up and its all good now, just not impressed it worked loose!!

Random shot of both cars

did you put the nut.bolt back in with some loctite to try and prevent it from un-doing itself again?

is the manifold now skimmed and re-fitted?
i ask because before you do, i had this problem with my turbo and like a div i just kept replacing gaskets untill i spoke to the likes of reyland and norris and they don't run a gasket due to them always failing especially with LC
so i just bolted the turbo to the manifold with no gasket and have had no problems since (12mths no problems)

Lee - thats interesting mate, no not refitted it yet, dunno if I can be arsed at the moment as they are proper chunts to do because of the funny angle of em Might get it lapped/skimmed and refit the turbo to it without a gasket then see how it goes

Cheers bud
