| never been a fan of the phase 2 gsi's, to me they look like a standard mk3 with just a couple of bits of body work! your car looks well though and i don't meen it as ofensive, but for me they lost the gsi meaness when they were using the same engines as the other astra's, the phase 1 had a red top found in no other astra of the time, so was the most powerful astra you could buy from the factoy! it also had the best kit too! with the bonnet vents, headlight washers and phase 1 body kit! i aslo liked the phase 1 wing mirrors.

| i know mate i had 1 last summer!!!
loved it but tryin to find a real clean one was so hard this time amd when this came up thought why not!!!
im not a big fan of p2 neither but getting more fond of it day by day,
its not near as fast as me old red top,but does look nice not having any rust etc anywhere like b4!!
it has air con which will be nice in summer and is real clean too inside, plus has a top install fitted now so does the bizz when driving : - )
i had thought about putting a old vent bonnet on it as having front, back bumpers and bonnett resprayed in may anyways
cheers

slaps | that sounds good! i have though about making a mint gsi useing a 98 on shell (pref 3dr cdx, for all the toys)due to the fact vauxhall galvanised the shells on all vauxhalls from this date! love the colour of yours too! |

i had a mk2 a few years ago and went from there, with me vauxhalls really,
thanks the colour is nice ceramic blue extra cost as got all paper work from when it was bought from vaux garage,
you can get the cdx cheap if ya look around and redtops are going real cheap too,
i have thought about maybe next year when im back to work full time get a let put in but going to need some help to do it all and the engines make loads of money but were see!! |

100% agree with you there. There was something about the phase 1's, The square wing mirrors which i love, the way the skirts hug the body, and the rear spoiler cupping just the top of the screen.
Nothing against your car though slaps, just saying about phase 2's like Looks dead clean |

| Nice looker, but boy do the ph2's need the original skirts. Chap near me has a flame Red one of these & it just so needs the proper skirts. It will help it look lower too.
Nice & tidy though & looks so smooth in that colour!

Any big future plans ?? |
