| My astra These are some pics of my car as it is now. Since i bought it i have fitted an induction kit and put new side repeaters on. Last months money went on repairing a dent from some ***ker ramming a trolley into her. Over the next couple of months i want to make the car my own by adding a few more modifications.
The mods i want to carry out are: Strut braces front and rear 12" sub and amp (possibly a new headunit) New brakes (V6 babies) Full suspension kit rather than just springs. De-clutter boot Mesh front grille
I want to make the car really handle because and i am happy with looks and performance. So thats my car and i'll hopfully post new pics of new mods soon. |

| Induction Kit Induction Kit
i thougth i'd show u a pic of my induction kit and ask 4 sum advice. When i bought the car it had a de-restricted airbox with a pipercros panel filter. the main reason i bought it was really for the induction sound. it does sound amazing when u plant your foot!!! basically i have 3 cold air feeds.
The black one came with the induction kit and it feeds air from the lower grille. the two silver ones i bought from halfords for a few quid. they are just cheap universal ducting hoses that are the same as any cold air feed without the fancy ends. The great thing is they come in many sizes. I think i got 45mm and 55mm and fitted them over the original feeds in the upper grille and front wing. I secured them with jubillee clips and cable ties. Eventually i want to get 3 feeds that are the same and attatch them in a more presentable way. Any ideas how to do this?
I also want to get some form of heat shield. Again any ideas. im thinkin of building a sealed box around the kit or maybe one of those bolt on heat shields you can buy.
With regards to performance i didn't really notice any difference. I supposse off the line when the filter is sucking hot air there is a bit of lag, but as soon as cold air is being fed to it, its great.
i cant get enougth of the sound though! It really roars!!!
Cheers Guys |

| engine bay Been fiddling round with the engine bay so far. Ive painted the rocker cover and fitted a stainless steel cover. Ive also got a stainless steel heat shield for the manifold.
The red hosing is just cheap conduit stuff to give me an idea of what looks good. I intend to replace it with silicone hosing when i have the money.

AFTER PICS:
Other than that, i have bought a full suspension kit - Spax and am waiting for it to arrive. I will be selling my eibach pro springs then, so if your interested they should be for sale in early May.
Plans for May are V6 brakes up front, strut braces and new tyres.
Let me know what you think of the engine.
Cheers |

| Hmmmm I'm not sure red really goes on a blue car. Black or silver may have looked better.
But, I do like the fact it's an ecotec and not a crappy XE What wheels are they? |

| The reason i choose red was to comtrast with the blue. Somedays i think it looks great other days i'm not to sure. The wheels are from daremosorsport. I'll have to get back to you on the exact model |

| Perhaps just do the cam cover in silver or black, and keep the red hoses? That way you've got the contrast without it being too much? |

| Looks pretty good, i'm a chrome addict, so i'd just chrome the lot, and use the hoses for contrast, lol. |

| Looks very very smart, I really like it.
I do agree with Nemesis, I don't like red and blue. A black or silver rocker cover with a polished black spark plug cover might have looked a bit better, in my opinion. |
