Opel Kadett 250iS V6 (56k beware)

Well 99.9% complete...finishing it in Oct now  damn work calls!!

Just one rad hose, gear linkage clamp, turbo wheels and complete 200tS leather interior to fit to finish.

Anyway some pics of the progress in Frogland.

Landed in France during the snow spell England had...far worse there. You could feel the plane hitting ice on the runway...didn't think we were gonna stop...looked out side....grey and a foot of snow!! Drive to parents place (90miles) took 3.5hrs!! :bored: :bored:

Few landscape pics

Beer cooler

Sunset shots

5 Stud V6 brakes tarted up

Engine & Light Flywheel on

F28 finished

The mad dog that kept nicking my tools!!!

Sideskirts back on after entire underneath was waxoyled and painted.

Future plans unveiled

Engine in and wired up, started, car cleaned and then left stored

Not driven it yet so not sure what the front end will feel like.

No Mark i ditched the aircon as the pipes/compressor were shot and i really wouldn't have used it anyway....still got all the connections so might put it back at some point.

Ditched the V6 rad and secondary cooling as well....opted for a 2L rad and i've hooked up the aircon fan to the main fan.

Can have it on with main fan, independantly or for a set time after engine is switched off.

was interested in the clearance for the Rad with air con.

We've got a cheap V6 Vec, and a MK3 Astra CDX Estate.

I had to move the rad forward on the MK2 to get the V6 in, and with the MK3 the condenser is already in front of the rad.

It is probably possible to move both forward, as I've since fitted MK3 Air Con to the MK2.

yep gonna charge it

2L astra rad with v6 fan and aircon fan is tight now....less than a few inches to front downpipe...had to remove the heat shield as it fouled the fan blades

i've got a v6 in mine and kept the air con, clearance is a major issue, so i modded the mounts/slam panel and pushed the rad forward a touch.

Just remember it's illegal to dispose of the gas by just letting it go.

It has to be de-gassed properly.

Yeah they quite good considering its only a 5M camera and parents back garden/field

Was good 1-1 1/2 foot deep.....and damn cold doing the Kadett outside.....regularly -20!!!

But somehow only had normal clothes, overalls and gloves.....it was a different kind of cold....place is at 3000ft...but the sun felt like British summer

Here's a few more
