You should contact Revs and tell them it's still going and it didn't end up at the Scrapyard!

todays task was to fit new radiator as it was gettin to the point of leaking a expansion bottle full of water every day, not only the water loss was doin my head in, so was the fact that it was spreyin water all around the engine bay!

it was leaking where some one previous had attached the fan to the rad with cable ties, and low and behold.... vibration beat the radiator!

picked the new rad up last nite! cheers Drizz!

guess which is the fecked one???

and put some supports in for the radiator to mount to, so not to go thru another rad!

    rad all in

while it was all off i wanted to fit a bigger oil cooler i purchased, an my standard one has had all the metal pipes bent around and the coolers dented up.

    came with jublee type attachments

but with the bigger intercooler and the griolle and bumper to work around its not gonna fit! to tall!

so donna go to a hyduralics place on monday and get some adapter fittings for it to use thes banjo oil pipe fixings! as it will fit behind the grille nicely with these fittings!

    and............

also as it was all off, id noticed every now and again, mostly just after its blown off a boost hose, theres quite alot of oil smoke out of the exhaust, dead turbo time this spells to me, but it only does it sometimes!

speakin to me mate with a LET nova, cheers andy, and he sed first thing to do is look in thew intercooler as when the engines breeth, it all gets caught in the intercooler, so took it all off and the pipes from the turbo to the intercooler were spotless, no trace of oil at all, but the other side of the intercooler had a rite slime of oil, as did the pipes going up to the maifold, just from the slight bits of oil bein passed thru, and caught up in the intercooler, he said he gives his a wash out every couple of months!

so took it all off, filled the intercooler up with petrol and swooched it all round!
took att the pipes out and cleaned them aswell, all like new now!

    all put back on now

    all good!

i want to get a nother samco hose to replace the dump valve t-piece as im not running a dump valve, good old wastegate chatter , and it looks messy and also prob quite a restriction! will investigate into price of this aswe!

    not a bad days work

Tax runs out at the end of the month so im gonna take the opitunity to take it off the road for a while, got a growing list of things that i need to do, so this will be the ideal time.

things on the to do list so far:-

-take gearbox out and investigate wether its time for a new one or its repairable
-replace oil return hose out of turbo - leaking
-replace coolant hoses coming out of turbo - one split so put a joiner and piece of pipe - hopefully replace with samcos
    -paint engine and gearbox
-reseal and paint engine bay - sealers bit sloopy after it was seam welded
-get matching boost pipes, samcos again - got a bit of a miss match at the mo
-fit rear seat belts - never came with any
    - fix front bumper, got crack in splitter
    - maybe respray it, dunno if i'll have time
    - refurb wheels - hopefully have time

EDIT:- and a bigger air filter

got some more but cant think at the min!

and pv is one month after, so will all be done by then!
