yea know the manifolds gonna start to discolour, if it goes too manky i'm gonna heat wrap it all like that white mk1 astra on t.v cover!
yea near enough mate a full one off loom for the engine and it runs under the inner wings just poppin out when its needed!

when i had my nova i had a expensive toad alarm and imoboliser fitted (bout 450quid ) the alarm had lots of output options, like both doors and boot pop ( i'd de-handled all round), remote locking, widows up, remote start etc, and had upgrades live horizontal sensor (save it being jacked up and wheels nicked) ans interior sensors, and when that got written off i took the whole car loom out, alarm included, in the hope to fitting it to my next car (didnt have the astra yet then lol) but when i phones up the company who fitted it, now about 4 years later, they didnt do car alarm systems anymore, and when i tried other places around this area they didnt do toad! so i phoned around trying to get wiring diagrams or simular to have ago mu self, but everywhere said they wouldnt give out any info to non aproved people, even tried toad themselfs and they did the same! but afrter loads of searching i finally managemed to get hold of the fitting manuals and wiring diagrams for the alarm and imoboliser (cheers mikeysr)!

so i could finally find what was what! heres the alarm loom i cut out of the car loom ( this is for the alarm only lol)

so alot of untaping later had this little pile

and with the diagrams i could finally see what was what

i want to change my imoboliser for the one already installed in the astra as at present its one of the plug in types and it gets bloody annoying when youer trying to do things like rolling roads set ups or just turning it on off turning over for working on engine, the toad one is the type which just stays on the keyring, and just has to be with you when starting!

gonna take my new gm whishbones in to work tomorrow (and cut out the brand new bushs ) to fit the new polly bushes!

does count for some progress this week, but im not going out size! its like the artic out there lol

no real time limit, obvs i want to get it done soon as possible, but with it being outside im limited by time, light, weather.... and energy lol

still got a fair few weekends worth to go as yet, would be happy if i can get it done by the end on march, when im in the mood for it, i go flat out and progress flys, but with the ups comes the downs, and when im not in the mood NOTHING gets done ha ha

no deffo wont be selling it for a long time now! not after putting all this effort into it, and money! cant understand the people who spend thousands and thousands on a project then sell it soon as its done, '' just spent 15k on renewing everything, for sale, 3k'' cant understand how (or why) people do it?

will be keeping it for a fair few years now, as it will deffo be goin 4x4 next winter

Alot of people get more fun out of building them than using them!

I know personally with my car I've got to the point that I want to use and abuse it on trackdays etc but don't want to run the risk of destroying my precious creation.

Good idea with the battery tray

I'm with you there Ronnie. Definately cant understand some people. I have had my Cabby so long now and spent so much time and effort getting to where I want I wouldn't just sell it for the sake of it fo silly money. Even though I would if the right offer came along I know its never gonna happen.
