i'd taken these couple of days off to put the astra back together n mot it, if i had a gearbox, ready for p.v! but with no gearbox (even now!) and two days with nothing to do i just did a bit of tinkering!

carried on with the idea of having just one wire to the battery instead of the usual birds nest hanging off the terminals, and got it pretty much done now!

the three smaller wires coming off the block are for the starter/charger circuit on the left, the centre ones fot the amps, and the right 1 goes to the rest of the car's loom, seen earlier

Thats very neat work, the loom is one of the first things going back into my astra now. May well be looking back over your thread as i'd like to tidy my connections up aswell. Also looking at Optima Yello Top batteries as there ment to be the dogs danglies.
    Top work.

with my new induction pipe i found a problem!

in my origional pipe it had a step in the hose so there wasnt a step in the intake flow of air!

how ever the new one did not

so i got the sander out i used to chomp away at the top hat

and got the turbo inlet pipe from this

    to this

    much better

    Ah good skills! ala Oddball.

I bought one of them Promotasport intake last year but wouldn't fit the nova. But the heatshields are awesome too, they cover the actuator up aswell.

What was it you had done? Had my F28 rebuilt to the tune of Ј790 so price sounds about right providing you've had the works.
