| Vauxhall Calibra DTM 4x4 Turbo. After being bullied by Pitstoppete, Astra Dan and getting the green light from my wonderful Fiancй, the decision was to go for it and buy this Limited Edition 1996 Calibra Turbo DTM.
.
.
.
Today we set off to collect the car (which had been laid up for 6 months) so, a trailer was needed. Dad (Jaguar John) and his trusty Jaguar 340 was booked along with a Friends trailer.
.
.
en route, disaster, the Jag started to misfire..... then knock and rattle . This turned out to be a spark plug failure. The ceramic / electrode had parted company with the threaded bitthat screws into the head. luckily Jaguar put a spare plug in the tool kit from FACTORY!, so, fitted new plug and continued the journey.
Arrived at Pirbright (Surrey) loaded up the car and returned to the road for the journey home.
.
.
.
However on the way home another disaster. Spark plug failure number 2, exactly the same problem happened although to a different plug. luckily we had 4 spare plugs in the Calibra so a quick plug swap and we were back on the road again!, (running on a twin electrode plug!)
.
.
.
Once back at Dads the proper mincing started, to give the Cally some much deserved loving so off came the bolt on tat to restore her to how Vauxhall intended as this is believed to be one special Calibra Turbo, one of 22 built and one of only 2 built in 1996.
.
.
.
.
Massive thanks to Dad, Pete, Sharon, Dan, Mum (for the Tea and Bacon Sarnies) and to the Mrs for the green light!
.
watch this space to see progress.... |

| Looks very clean that, reminds me of going to collect mine but without the (very classy in your case!) tow car trouble. |

| That's very nice! Probably very similar in basic spec to mine. Does it have the camber correction and Bilstein suspension? |

| Yeah, Irmscher springs and Bilstein shocks. I have the factory spec sheet somewhere. Either way you'll love the way it drives! |

No Calibra came on 17's. Mine were the same as his, (BBS RX) just in champagne finish. I have fitted the 17" versions of the same wheel off the Astra Coupe Turbo. LE's are newer. |

| I'm not normally a fan of Calibra's TBH but I actually like that one, plus it looks really clean!
