First Car Project: Corsa B 1.2 16v

After what seemed a never ending search last year, I found my lovely Arden Blue Corsa B 1.2 16v on Autotrader late one night. It was a mint GLS (AC) (Most of the toys and Air Con!!) with only 37k on the clock

This is the autotrader pic:

When I got it home, I cleaned her up the next day and got on the search for a better stereo. Here is how it looked after a cleanup - much better. Note the Car-300 as well (its sat in my wardrobe now!)

Then got a Sony flip front FM/Cassette with CD Changer on eBay (The idea was to use a cassette adapter with my iPod, but it didnt like the adapter so I had to think of another way to plug my iPod in). I got around this by adding a RCA switch to the RCA input on the stereo for the CD changer. I added an RCA to 3.5mm (for the iPod) to one of the iputs on the switch, the CD changed to the other input and his the button in a sly place behind the dash (picture to come!)

Then I fitted the stereo into the car and CD changer under the passenger seat (and ran the cables behind the glovebox and down by the seat). Picture to come of it all fitted!

Next came the search for a sub and amp as the system lacked bass. So, being a student, I bought the cheapest amp and sub I could find.... from ebuyer lol!!! It even had a blue "chav" light on it (which I wired up to the boot light !). My car got broken into and it was stolen which was disapointing (coz the bastaaaaaads bent the door back!) but good becuase it encouraged me to get another! I bought an amp and a JL audio sub off a mate - and hid the amp so no1 can get it!!!

I also debadged it, and put white LEDs in the MFD and heater parts. Thats how it stands at the moment.

Mods that I have/have the money to get/waiting to be collected:
-SRi/GSI/Sport spoiler (which needs painting)
-Cali leathers (my seats are sooooo uncomfy!!)
-Sport alloys (gunna be black wooooot!)
-40mm lowering springs

Mods in the future:
-New bonnet!! Mine is SOOOOO chipped!
-Smoked headlights (umm... cheap anyone??? )
-Some way of smoking back lights - can we use tinting spray/film on the rear lens's legally???

You can tint your rear lens yourself but it aint road legal unless u got reflectors,If you just slithly tint them and fit reflectors near the lights when m.o.t till comes you should be ok.You could buy some rear lamps from a scrappy and fit them when m.o.t till comes?
