Brian - You can use your XE head, but that will require dismantling to fit the LET cams. Or you can use your XE cams for a bit more hp, but you would have to fir vernier pulleys and that would require an expenditure of more then £4.99.

Stef - The pipes are spanky. Thank you.... Mwah

JapCav - You'd be lucky to get more then £10 out of Brian for something new when he can use a 2nd hand belt for £5. . Is it for a late engine?

What is the difference between Let cams and XE cams then?

Sorry for these questions, we've all got to learn somewhere.

Brian, seriously, staples cost about 0.0004p each. You could even buy a pack of 1000, use four or five, then hand the pack back for a refund! Thats a free cambelt!

Turbo cam timing is so massivly different to N/A cams the mind just boggles. I dont think there is anyone on the planet that knows it all 100%.

General concensus (as I have done) is to use the XE inlet cam and stock LET cam. Inlet needs retarding 6 degrees to time properly though.

And the retarding is done vai the Vernia pullys then? If I fitted both the XE cams with Vernia (Sp) pully's then and got them set up on a rolling road, that would be a couple of extra BHP? Especialy if I use the Ported Coscast head from the XE?

BARGAIN....

No mate it dosnt work quite like that. You only fit the Inlet due to the cam timing.

Chris. This is Rob from Braintree. Not on MIG. He builds racing engines and Dave and Stefan in particular have become close freinds with him along with Dan and I to a lesser extent. Stef even works with him on a Saturday to get experience.

I will PM you some prices I am looking for those bits.

OK mark. the red should go with your Calibra OK. Comes with a Red Hose and clips as well.

I have had a couple of Gin and Tonics while watching dan install his xenon headlights so not the right time to think of anything right now, Wow, I should have used the measure, my head is nicely spinning.
