Shhhh Don't tell Tom

Thanks for the coomments though Its diamond white, because i've always associated that with really crisp looking series 2 escorts, and i prefer it over the transparent-like look of glacier white.

I only had a little garage, minimal tools, and an arsehole neighbour to do the conversion and engine bay work....then money went low, waited for compensation i got and ploughed about £5-6k into the whole thing. Everything was genuine parts, all new bolts, clips seals etc The boost pipe cost me £80 to have bent, and i took the measurement...but somehow everything came out perfect.

The intercooler fitted straight up.....i bought blind the silicone pipes online with no idea what clearence i had, went in to pipe place and explained to the guy what i wanted, no measurements....and it fitted to the mm!

Even the oil cooler....i bought braided pipes for £65 from the oil filter plate, to my 13 row mocal....but i measured them for where it WAS going to go...but the intercooler was there So i stuck the oil cooler up into the wing, and the pipes just fitted, and i mean to the milimeter when it was in a totally differn't place.

I've learnt so much doing it all, Its been a good experience, especially now when i put my foot down and it just goes like stink

Fantastic stuff, well recommended, but you need minimal commitments elsewhere to properly concentrate on the motor and get it on the road

ahhh see with the grey, I think that wouldnt suit the shape of a MK3. I don't like silver astras as it is.

Could be interesting though
