My 1.6 throttle bodies Green corsa

My car - 1.4 16v (x14xe)




My spec - going in to my car

c16xe (109bhp)
cylinder head - 3 angle valve seat, DIY polishing/porting (still to do)
piper 264 cams (still to get)
piper veriner pulleys
piper cambelt (still to get)
sbd rollers
cool running thermostat
arp conrod bolts
dbilas throttle bodies (will remove inlet chamber to fit trumpets)
trumpets
sausage filter (still to get)
2.0l blue injectors
webber fpr
4-2-1 janspeed manifold
decat
scorpion system
lightened flywheel
uprated clutch (still to get)
F13CR (still to get)
quickshift (still to get)

will be running on megasquirt v2.2 spark n extra

i didn't want to do the boring usual - bolt a c20xe in, far more interesting and probley more fun to drive,

also forgot to mention, looking for around 170bhp, which is very achievable i belive, but still won't be as quick as a 2.0 because it will have less tourque

Run it on MS PCB3, better board than the 2.2 version.

Engine spec sounds very tasty, car looks very nice too.

hows the car going then, any further with finishing it, will be interested to see how its running

16.1s 1/4 mile with a c16xe - mantzel style inlet, 4-1 exhuast, de-cat straight through and chipped, not that bad a time.14.7s 1/4 mile honda civic 1992 sir 1.6 - decat and induction kit, now thats a good time. Time to go jap i think!

fitting arp bolts this weekend, porting head very slighty, and then refitting the valves dueing the week

then will be hopefully fitting very soon

slight change to spec

c16xe (109bhp)
kent cams 260 degree cams reprofiled
kent cams veriner pulleys
kent cams cambelt
sbd rollers
cool running thermostat

weekends work

sexy a!


head + inlet out lined up to gasket size ready for porting


cylinder head half done - thanks dad!!!
now got to buy some more bits for the dremal! all worn out :lol:

all valves cleaned - almost to a polished finish, bit more work to do

once all head works done, i can regrind valves in, and start building up

no afraid not, nothing's changed AT ALL!!!! wait for my dad to get on with it!

and before its fitted im going for 125bhp from the 1.4, got a power and superchip in post atm!
