heres some of the pics of my cav having brand new rear archs & sills welded to it:

sadly i dont have any before welding pics.

after rust was cut out:

after welding:

just before spraying and fillering etc:

after spraying (had all bumpers, wing, side skirts, archs, sills & spoiler sprayed)

after i got it home again, i sprayed several layers of rust treatment, and then undersealed/ waxyoil'd the archs and sills:

hmm, yer, tbh i only bought them coz they were cheap, and i thought, well il get them and see what they look like on the cav, and from a side angle like that 1st pic of the back end of my cav in a compound, it does look like poo, but with the last pic in the section with the archs etc, where you see the lights from as you would in a car behind, they dont look too bad imo, ive kept my cav gsi smoked rear lights incase i get fed up with them lol.

god knows. it was some random a mate gave & fitted for me as a prezzie. the chip thing on the airflow meter is one of those chips for £5 of so on ebay, that tells the ecu that theres cold air coming into the engine or something along those lines making it pump more petrol into the engine, and the race mode button is basically the same, only this is wired to the engine electrics/looms. both work though, suprisingly enough.

heres a pic of it with a set of cavy gsi smoked rear lights on it:

personally, i do like them gsi lights, but the rear end never looked finished with them on imo, thats why i bought the lexus lights:

it looks poo at the mo, as i havent re-fitted the lip spoiler yet.

1 pic where i do really like the gsi lights is the one below:

i duno, i guess im just young lol, and lexus lights is what us 'youngens' like. i probably will swap back to the gsi smoked lights, i cant make up my mind lol

btw, ive also painted over that red line on the rear bumper in same colour as the car.

Not my cup of tea by a long shot, but fair play, some serious work done to get it in the condition it's in now. Nice find on ebay too! Top man.

All of the modifications you list to do in the future are all relatively easy. The lights on the door cards you can pick up from a scrappie, same with ABS and pretty much everything on that list.

You do know about having to mod a gsi rear light to fit an hatchback Cav? If not, you will crack them.
