My Corsa Gsi Project

So I thought I may as well use this forum as to keep a log etc.

The car as most of you know is from North Wales, has 69k on the clock, a knackered x16xe engine and will be my project for the next 6 months to completion hopefully!

These are my main objectives.
  • To get the car looking as clean as possible
  • Factory fit look
  • c20XE to replace the knackered c16XE - bought
  • ATB LSD ! I've heard they are worth their weight in gold
  • Big brakes
  • Professional Suspension - sorted
  • Retrim plastics in suede - sorted
  • Respray
  • Carbon Bonnet
  • HID Conversion
  • Speedlines

Parts that I will be replacing are
  • Aerial
  • exhaust - sorted
  • rear clusters to OEM - sorted
  • Parcel shelf
  • carpet - sorted
  • roof lining - - sorted
  • battery, change to Optima

Thats all I can think of for now.

If you have any ideas or comments just whack them here !

Heres to the long road ahead!

Good news today people.

I have sorted an engine through MIG user racingsnake2.

The engine was running QED's and what I am getting is a claimed 170bhp kent cammed quickshift mo fo to stick in the corsa.

He is even going to drive up to mine for one of a few last road trips to show me it running etc before he strips to move on in life with family etc.
A lot better than the engine I was going to get which was gonna come without some pipework and recently I just found out also gearbox.

This man is a true work of art !!

Cheers Chris.

well after the set back of not getting chris's (racingsnake2) engine I have had the local lads up who wanted my nakad x16xe engine, rallycorsa's mates, who have taken it out and have a mate with a tuned xe engine and full exhaust system for sale so will have to get the pennies saved as its a lil bit more than what I was going to pay chris !

the car is somewhat higher than before lol !!!

Boosha, just read it, looks like a good starting point, ATB diff's are superb and in a light weight car very good

The only questionable point on the list is the single wiper conversion, i think these are bit late 90's now personally
