Sincerely crazy. I cannot understand how a relatively low powered engined can pull under 10s on the quarter mile!

sofar he have run an
7.83s
142km/h
1.76s 60ft

this was at 1/8 mile strip with no glue on track.
after this race he found many things to improve.
and he is aiming for low 7s on 1/8 mile.

Hey fellas...
something has happened..

i sold my special T3/T4 hybrid.
same day i bought a new one including wastegate.
no pictures just yet as it´s heading my way, may get my hands on it about wednesday i think.

new setup is
Garrett GT35R (GT3582R)
And a Tial 44mm wastegate.

Honestly the engine will just scream for more than this 'teenieweenie' turbo.
But i got hold of myself when it comes to drivability.
This is about the biggest turbo you get 'normal' drivability from.

otherwise the engine would easily produce somewhere around 800hp with a bigger laggier turbo.
Don´t want that.

Aaaaannnnnd were picking up the ball where we left it.
Have been working a bit to prep enginebay for paintwork.

No pics just yet. but i´m on it.

And the blue Astra mkII above in the pics has been on the rollers today.
a direct swap on exhaustmanifold to a calculated 4-1 manifold with mergecollector gave quite a lot.
15.3hp for a direct swap aint bad.,, not bad at all. it´s mental
Now they´re tuning camshafts and fuelmixture as it was running a bit rich.
we might see ~270hp when the day is over if their luck doesn´t end up in pieces.

yesterday and today i have measured the rear wheel alignment.
was a bit off.. but not very far.

left wheel
0.3 degree toe out
-3.5 degree camber

right wheel
0 degree toe out/in
-3.5 degree camber

now its:

left
0 degree toe out/in
-2 degree camber

right
0 degree toe out/in
-2 degree camber


sorted!

might adjust toe a little bit later on to get som toe in. but i´ll read the tires first.

today i modified the throwout bearing with a small spacer and to get smaller diam to fit raceclutch.

Will go down in the garage to make 4 more small welds.
Wanted it to cool down a bit so i took a pic for you lads..
