You're taking the wrong protection. Rather pack a bullet proof vest instead. Johannesburg is set up like New York, except that I was never afraid to walk in New York. I will never ever walk in Jhb city. And neither will anyone I know. (I own a property there, BTW.)

Ok so this is not so much a 'race tale' but its something similar. So last night I went to see a lady friend of mine in the south of Joburg, in Rossetenville and on my way home i literally got lost in Jeppestown but i kept following the signs leading to the M2 highway (which is where i wanted to go), it was about past 10pm so as i was driving toward a robot, i suddenly saw a small board written M2 highway on it pointing to the right. I was driving on a 2 lane road and i was in the slow lane, then i made the error of not looking behind me before turning right as per the directional board to the highway and next thing i heard a LOUD hooter and i saw that i almost got rear ended by a taxi (the traditional siyaya shapes aka super 16), i slowed down and raised my hands apologetically, by this time, the taxi had completely stopped and all i heard were the driver pointing at me vociferously. So naturally, i drove on, but when i looked at my rear view mirror, i saw that the taxi, which was probably 3/4 full, was now chasing me :shock: !!! yoh so i geared down so 2nd and flattened my accelerator lol, i was headed toward a green robot but it closed just before i got there :shock2: !!! I quickly observed for any oncoming cars (luckily there isnt alot of them at this time) so i crossed the red robot and put foot!! I checked my rear view mirror and saw that the taxi was coming at full throttle!! So i drove on toward the last set of robots just before the onramp to the M2 highway and guess what, THE ROBOTS WERE RED!!! So i stopped and braced myself for war, by this time my mind kept picturing the karate kid and mr miagi lol! Then after a few moments, the taxi passed me abit in the fast lane and blocked me off, the next thing the sliding door swung open and the driver door as well yoh :shock2: i then nervously reversed and open abit of a gap, then i put my car in 1st and started to do a burn out and then vigorously launched and flew past them in the narrow gap they had created by blocking me off, by this time there was another car ( a green honda ballade) at the robots yielding to his on coming traffic since the robots were open for him and closed for me, eish but i think he saw that i wasnt just having a lekker drag race with a taxi so he didnt onramp immediately or else i wouldve bumped into him, so i put foot and flew onto the M2!! A few moments later the honda started tailing me lol (poor oke mustve been shook by what was happening that he too ran for his life). I've had 4 speeding tickets on the M2 in the past before by the way and there I was flying on it again, but in this instance it was not by choice and i did 180km/h and actually got away 8) !! the honda eventually dissappeared from my rear view mirror.

I had never been this scared in a long time, so i made it home safely. Luckily i dont work near where this altercation occurred or else :shock2: lol ey Joburg is not for the faint hearted gents!!!

How have you got on with it? Did you have to get the silly CAN->USB converter for it?

I´ve got private driver at all times when going somewhere.
And i´m going to work inside at ABB.
If my boss find it secure to visit the locations i wanna visit, then i´m going.

plugged the crankhouseventilation on the valvecover like they do on astras with drysump.
And connected the other side of that ventilation to my newly welded ventilated box.
just one mod left on the vent,box.
weld an boss for an 10x1 tapered screw in bottom so i can empty it from gooooo from time to time.

And connected the other side of that ventilation to my newly welded ventilated box.

I really doubt i will dyno it actually.
There´s no 4wd dyno near enough where i live.
And i know it makes whole lot of power, that´s good enough for me.

The company that had 4wd dyno near me has taken down the sign,,,

But listen to this:

1680cc injectors at 93% duty(5800rpm) and 91% duty at 7500rpm
Ignition are at those values about 17(5800rpm) and 14degree(7500rpm)
this is at 2.08 bar of boost, 3.08bar absolute pressure.

Since i run at fullboost lambda 0.78 for security(0.8 gives most bang for the buck on E85 fuel) and it needs about 25-30% more juice to make the same lambda on E85 and regular you can quickly do your math.
You can say my injectors are about 1200cc(at 91% duty) and running on racefuel to make a likeness for ease to calculate power for you that aren´t familiar to E85.

Calculations on fuel amount says 767hp, and considering i´m wasting a couple of percent to run rich we can fast subtrakt about 30-40hp from 767.

Have in mind, that E85 has a wider tolerance "for running fat and still makes power" than regular fuel.
If running a little bit fat on regular you lose whole lot more than E85.
