After a long delay i finally got my 'ems'![]()
DTA S60 pro should do the jobbie with my(not arrived yet) 1550cc Ford motorsport injectors (bosch)
I had my plans on Delphi/MSD 1680cc injectors, but felt it was 'american junk'
And as i stumbled on these 'ford' injectors i couldn´t resist.
They are a bit smaller but i haven´t got any problems with raising my fuelpressure up to 12bars.(mechanical pump you remember?)
So with E85 fuel their capacity are somewhere in the area of 650hp with 3bar pressure.
piccie:
but i found a funny bug with this DTA system..
there arent any brackets to mount the ems on something.. nothing... *lame*
awesome! very very nice project and i love the way you get in and do it yourself
good luck with the rest! much admiration. very high standard of work gone into this well done!
thats what velcro was invented for dude![]()
love the car![]()

Yes i feel it´s very competetive even thou it´s 'cheap'
here´s a couple of piccies of some work, and how to work around problems with toyota transferbox.
these supports help dismount the gearbox without removing tranferbox from car.
i added a support for alternator too as i had to trim the bracket.
there are som more pics in my 'c23let' folder at photobucket.
so long peeps...![]()
sweet car mate, looks to be well sorted !!!
Wow!

That's amazing. I see nothing scares you!

Clicky link for the longest (8 years and counting) rebuild thread..
Chip says..Bunch of jokers the lot of them, wouldnt know a good map if you stuffed an AA road atlas of great britain up their arse and set fire to it..
Not much of an update fellas.. but it´s something..
i´ve been sick in 'influensa' they call it in sweden.. well it sucks,, high fever and bulls*** like that.
today my injectors arrived after a long wait.
And i have modified the front a little to make easier service.

that is a serious bit of kit mate. excellent work well done![]()

Not playing with a full deck....
thanks
today i was at my garage doing some small work, mounted injectors on manifold and mounted map/mat sensor on manifold too.
Started then to check what was causing one inletvalve to be very excentric from valveseat.
tested dismount bronzeguide again and cleaned up the head and the valve and mounted it with loctite bushing mount fluid.. same problem.
Dismounted it again.
Went to my work and measured the guide for excentriness,, well.. it is 0.04mm off centrum
And it is tapering a quite lot (0.03mm) on the 11mm circle, so no wonder the valve never gets in the right position.(to much to grind in seat)
solution: ordered a new one for about five minutes ago from Enem.
Oilsquirters from Isuzu 1.7 diesel turbo?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wich ones are used for mod on LET´s?
do anyone have complete GM partnumber?
My distributor can´t find them.
But are willing to order for me once he gets the number.

Oil jets, GM part # 90499496.
I can give you the settings to drill the holes on a Bridgeport mill if you want so all holes are consistant.
Cylinder head modification, Flowbench testing, Intake and exhaust system design.
PM for details.
Thank you Stefan.
Much appreciated.

I can't believe after all this work you're using the squirters from the Isuzu diesel engine! Are there no aftermarket squirters that are a little bit more... I don't know, specialised?
I showed my dad Chip's write up of installing squirters into a LET the other day. He replied something to the effect of John Deere engines have always had oil squirters.![]()
One day I'll catch him out.![]()
Teeth? LUXURY! When I was a child we ate by putting rocks in our mouth and jumping up and down.
Thanks again stefan for the writeup..
Here are a couple of pics of what i´m doing at the moment:
Uprated adjustable swaybar, i will earn weight ,easier adjustment and a whole lot easier to build exhaust and service gearbox with this one as it is mounted 'above'' the propshaft.
On the pictures it´s adjusted to it´s hardest setup.
only loosen one small screw and rotate the 'knife' to get softer setup.
nevermind the dirt, i´m preparing body for paint.
dude all i can say is wow,
This is the year where hope fails you, when the test subjects run the experimental and the bastard you know becomes the hero you hate.
Hello again guys..
i feel it´s time to explain a little why there arent that much updates from me, normally i would have worked my ass of at this time of the year to get it done.
But i have a problem called 'inguinal hernia' i think..
well it´s pain in the ass.. (almost anyway *LOL*)
It keeps bugging me to make 'hard work'
And in middle of all....
I have bought a house, that needs to have some attention too.
have patience.

Update:
small mods made on head:
less squisch and recut angels on valveseats.
(work in progress)
and then i welded the swaybar mounts:
and modified the struts(word?) Now i can adjust caster. the camber adjustment will be at the bottom of coilover.
this was one days work![]()
hey fellas...
it was quite a while since i updated.
I havent forget you, but i´m taking a short paus about a month or two.
I have bought myself a house and are restoring the kitchen, bathroom(expanding the space too),livingroom.hallway x2 and my girlfriends sons room...
You can easily say i have a ****load of work at my hands as we speak..
good news is.. i bought myself a tigwelder and every little sparetime i can find i´m training to get to know the welder as my own right hand.
soo be patient you who find my project interesting. i will keep you posted as i´m making any progress.

You might aslo want to know about a friend of mine who are building a dedicated dragcar of an Astra MKII GSI.
I´m having a lot of phonesupport with tips and tricks to the fella just to get him to run Swedens fastest NA FWD car.
sofar he have run an
7.83s
142km/h
1.76s 60ft
this was at 1/8 mile strip with no glue on track.
after this race he found many things to improve.
and he is aiming for low 7s on 1/8 mile.
little movie from the first race:
http://media.putfile.com/Meca-070502---JG-in-action
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeGSR...de=user&search
The engine is dynoed to 244.7hp with 'bad' adjustment on fuel and camshafts.
there might be around 10-15 more hp to get of more tuning.
This might sound cocky,, but the engine is producing more power than SBDdevelopments engines with the same setup.
a few more mods are coming as a real race header 4-1 with mergecollector instead of the kitcar manifold.(this might boost the power about 7-10hp)
setup:
kent cams: Inlet 11.95mm,310 degree duration
Outlet 11.90mm ,300 degree duration
omega 88mm pistons
lightened std crackshaft
H-beam rods
Head flowed by www.topplocksverkstan.se
GrA valves(29/33mm)
Drysump oilsystem (SBdev)
45mm tapered Jenvey throttles from SBdev.
