C'mon Patrick get a move on, i'm looking forward to seeing some results from this build.

Everything has it´s own time,,, be patient.
been out testing a little today, Clutch works fine.
but now it dies when boosting.?!?!?!...
well i´ll fix that,no problems.
did a teststart on asphalt today,,
it spins all 4 wheels with no boost![]()

very very very maybe later today i might have a video of testrun on 1bar.
I don´t promise anything as it have been snowing tonight.
semislicks and snow isn´t a good combo *lol*
Semi-slicks and snow sounds like fun to me! lmao
Teeth? LUXURY! When I was a child we ate by putting rocks in our mouth and jumping up and down.
hehe.. well.. it is, but you dont reach full boost before it spins
here´s a bad vid on testdrive:

The fuel went low in tank so as soon the g forces went in the engine had some hickups.
this is lowboost 0.9bars
Earlier today it just went sideways on dry tarmac when the boost hit on 2nd gear... *Yeah*
Awesome!![]()

You mad bastard, i would never be running an engine of that spec unmapped and fuel surging......you weren't joking when you choose InsaneSwede as a username.
Sounds awesome regardless, it'll be a beast when its completed.
"THE ROB"
nice, get some more fuel in there and made another vid
ps get it finished so we can see the final result with vids![]()
i miss my vauxhalls breaking down
driving it round with a smashed windscreen doesnt really help either, certainly insane!!
sounds amazing mate![]()
GSI ..... now gone. it will be sadly missed.
Just read 'properly' through this whole thread, has taken me quite a while lmao
Amazing work, absolutely nothing has been left untouched! I love some of the details like the modofied rocker cover and the cam pulleys look stunning.
My only comment/suggestiong would be: with the turbo pipework from the turbo to the intercooler, you have used a 90degree silicone elbow off the turbo. Even with a good heavy duty clamp on there I can still see it blowing off - a mate of mine had 90 degree aluminium bend welded on to his turbo to prevent the hose from blowing off (Nissan 200SX S14A runing approx 450bhp - think it is a similar turbo to yours...he was using mikalor clamps and it still came off fairly often). Hopefully you won't expeirence any problems but if you do, thats quite possibly the best way to go.
Round of applause for the work so far though, I don't think anybody can claim to own such a well spec'd well built well thought out Opel/Vauxhall!
Hello AL, thanks for the tips.
but i have a 'odd' solution for this and have never had any problems.
it´s to clean the areas were the hose lies on the pipe with a heavily cleaner like thinner or aceton.
then screw it together, it´s almost as glued afterwards
Welded this the otherday byt the way:
and a question..
do somone know anything about someone in UK that mills out the std inlets out of the XE head and replaces them with new billet ones?
Not quite understanding what you mean about the milling of the head...........i'll have a guess though, try these dudes
www.cncheads.co.uk
"THE ROB"
no not cncporting.
just hardcore milling work.
just getting rid of the tight std inlet as deep as it´s possible in the head and manufacture a new channel to fit down the head.
The std casting have to little material in the head to get those really highflowing numbers that Honda and 4G63 user reaches.
Ive never seen that done, well never on a road going build.
The guys at the cnc shop may be able to help you still, could they not cnc it out unti they break through the water jacket then insert a billet liner/sleeve??
Why do you want this done though, you'll be making enough power as it it,lol.
"THE ROB"
It´s my Friend Johan with that naughty Astra MKII(JG automotive) that needs BIIIG holes in he´s engine.
He is uprating to 2.3 litre and need bigger inletports to max the flow for that volume.
He is aiming for 305hp+ this year
And he heard a rumour that someone did this job somewhere in UK.
Only person who i can think of that may know would be steveboyslim on here, he's got plenty experience in crazy builds and has alot of contacts. iirc he can get his hands on special head casts and maybe even reverse heads. Well worth a pm.
"THE ROB"
surely he doesnt need to do that to the head to hit 300bhp?
