engine looks stunning mate! a work of art!
Thanks for the feedback guys
That loom that i built.. it was the very first time i made one of those.
And i couldn´t fit smaller 'hoses' as i didn´t have loose connectors for the injectors.
They were ripped from that Audi loom.
Here´s a pic of todays and yesterdays work:
What picture don´t show is that the fuelsystem is complete and mounted underneeth the car.
And i have routed them wisely,, if i should brake any driveshaft the hoses won´t break.
Rgds
Looks very pro, i hope my loom looks like yours and Lee;s when i've finished. I still have reservations on the mechanical fuel pump though.

Why should that be a problem?
only negative is it might take som time to build fuelpressure when starting engine.
but.. thats honestly a positive thing.
The engine builds oilpressure meantime![]()
similar to having a dry sump really, shouldnt be a problem, i would fancy an rpm sensor on the pulley though, thinking of doing this on my dry sump

This is quite impressive:
cranked the engine with fuel in the tank just recently.
Took about 4 engineturns for pump to start pumping.
That is with dry pump to...
That's pretty cool, I imagined it would take a while before it pressurized fully.
So you're using a mechanical pump instead of the electric, in-tank one? Almost like a diesel lift pump.
Teeth? LUXURY! When I was a child we ate by putting rocks in our mouth and jumping up and down.
so are you going to have a pressure sensitive switch to the ecu or something? or just crank it with the ecu switched off manually till you see some pressure, then turn the ecu on and start it?

I´ll think i´ll leave it just as it is.
just to get the positive oilpressure before it fires up.
I turned the key today to fire it up,, not a single lifesign.
started to look for errors.
Didn´t find any at first.
But then it hit me... does the camsensor work?
That was the problem, no signal from sensor.
Well, it was good to find a solution for the problem that easy.
But i didn´t have the time to start the engine this evening.
I´ll try to start it tomorrow.
Maybe i have to raise temperature in the garage to get it to fire.
E85 fuel is a little bit tricky when 'cold'
well let´s hope for tomorrow. if it goes like the plan i made maybe i´ll post a tiny video of engine running.
But i do not promise anything.
Rgds.
must be very excited about finally startin it up!

I'm off to search how available e85 is over here![]()
"THE ROB"
e85 is avgas isn't it. available from your local airport if they will sell it to you. I have ran a nova gsi on it as i aquired a free sample.
Nah, avgas is ****e mate, it may have 100 ish octane rating but is slow(slower than petrol) burning and is of no use for a performance engine. The only reason they use it in planes n **** is because its lighter than petrol iirc, otherwise they'd be running on v-power etclmao
E85 is a mix of 85% ethanol and 15% petrol iirc and is rated at 100-105![]()
Its real popular in sweden, norway etc but quite hard to come buy(via fuel station) over here![]()

Very nice, bet it feels nice to have it running. I cannot wait untill my nova is at a stage where i can fire it up again. TBH at the moment it feels like its years off though.
Congrats mate, sounds class!!, I take it back about the fuel pump!!
