Astra finishes Wales Rally GB!

After 3 grueling days, and many challenges before, during and after, we are proud to say that we have brought a Mk4 Astra OPC to the finish of the Wales Rally GB. It was nice to see alot of Vauxhall fans (maybe some MIG members too??) cheer us on and take interest in the car. It is nowhere near the spec of the Fiesta STs, but we had a great time, and a nice small etched crystal as a momento.

Vauxhall (and Opel as the car is incorrectly badged) rules!!!!

Any photos?

Quite good, actually. The Mk4 is quite a strong car, and it was mostly standard. Did any MIG members watch us or get any photos of us?

The seats are std. Recaro reclining option seats for the OPC. They are super comfortable. After some frowns from the scrutineers, I pointed out that you can run the standard production seats in FIA group N, which we did! We are looking to put in proper fiberglass ones for the future, but only to save weight.

Broke a CV joint on Trawscoed, but fixed it and finished under superally. You have to fix it in service, otherwise we would have changed it in the stage and continue. Rules are rules!

Entry fee was 2,175 pounds, but thats a small piece of the cost to do the rally.

Where do you think the Fiesta STs are going faster than us? Corners, straight line speed, both? Was hoping to be a little closer to them.
