18... havent seen one in a nova yet..
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
go watch some rallycross and you will, its the one beating everything else![]()
sweet, cant find much of it on tv...
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
men and motors have it occasionally, and its in world motorsprt and maxpower on skysports, season finishes this weekend though
lmao i got my eyes on a Z18... what else had them? modern vectras? astras?? as corsa 'sri' carries a premium!

astra
How bout Vectra B 1.8 SRI 130... z18xe anyone?

not 100% on the differences tbh, but i think any 18 will do considering what you'll do to it eventually(tbs etc etc)
vecs big block im pretty sure
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"
I will have to more than likely TB it as there fly-by-wire?

is there any point running an 18? I mean it's the same size and I'm guessing the same weight as a 20 but the 20 would have more power.
o rly?
i never knew that, i always thought from 18 upwards was a big block
go! 18! go!
slightly bigger bore than the 16 and more stroke, makes a lovely engine from what i'm being told, revvy like the 16 but more torque
Longer stroke and revvy?
If I had an engine with a long stroke I'd concentrate on making it give as much torque as possible, instead of aiming for maximum revs.
That's short stroke/big bore territory.
Teeth? LUXURY! When I was a child we ate by putting rocks in our mouth and jumping up and down.
yes, but thats the thing with this 18, apparently its still very revvy, its not a huge increase in stroke over the 1600 if you think about it
The corsa c uses a small block 18??
all depends on the standard of the OE crank / rods and what not as well.
For instance Vauxhall straight 6 12v has bonkers 95mm bore and 69.8mm stroke. But it hates revving over 6500rpm because its all nastily cast bottom end cant handle it, and its not what the breathing has been set up to do either.
LURF - The proper pronunciation for "love". Especially emphasized during karaoke sessions.
"Oh, my lurf, my laling, I hunger for your tush, a long and lonely time..."
