what doing on with the sunstrip?
what doing on with the sunstrip?
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
Just researched more and some do a 6.2-6.5 sprint to 60... So makes more sense I suppose...

Think he meant the big logo
Looking good dude! How long did you heat the bumper for? Might try that on mine for a more permanent effect!

shame about the crap sun strip, wheres the MiG sticker?
progress looking good!

Well its a free sticker I got... Plus Chip will be installing my nos setup. VS is a good site, you should try it and forget the MIG vs V.S. as there isn't a rivalry.
I haven't got anymig stickers atmI will be putting a MIG logo on the sunstrip, and on the rear bar where the window is will be a www.migweb.co.uk on each side. I just can't afford stickers atm
lmao

Indecisive on one bit... What diff?
1: Quaife
2: Gripper
3: Trans-x???
I was going for a gripper at first but no speedo drive, then a Tran-x but i need to park the car so Quaife favorite now!
www.shonkyopels.de
quaife ones are good, i like mine, but i think i'd go for a tran x if i got one now, slightly better for full on track use
Need to work on it this week!!! I'm turning into Wayne with a slow progress
Fook think i'll order some bits now!!!!

I was thinking about slip differentials last night, IMO if the car has to/will be used on the road, a Quaiffe ATB makes the most sense. it doesnt need rebuilding, it gives the benefits of a slip diff in terms of cornering grip & traction & is also supposedly not too bad in terms of day to day usage.
If my car was purely trailered to events & not road legal, thus no tax & MOT etc then I'd have a Tran-X I reckon. However if I could afford the rebuild costs etc then maybe I would just plump for that anyway.
it's a C20XE not a fookin Redtop FFS
Have often to the trans-x ones need rebuilding? Why are the so much better?
Spanishfly - get on with it!
i havnt seen this thread in ages!
mr coolname youre car is following suit, LOVE the look of the matt cesaros with the old school plastic bumpers. really want a nova with that front end at some stage. hopefully you will be able to bring tonys TBs to live on this one too.
Well bits are ordered to build the XE! Have a few bits here and there.

Ok a lil update!
Engine bits are mostly in my possesion. Just waiting on a part from Chris Astley.
Engine out..
What are these for on the nova plating kit? I can't find a good spot for em?!
Still loving the 'able two change two wheels at one time'-ness
Tomorrow i'm hoping to weld the engine plate kit in, and the strut top plates. Start buildinh the XE too.
www.shonkyopels.de
jack up under a front tie bar bracket and you should be able to do three wheels at oncesmall plates are for the jacking point and on the inner front arch to lower arm mount
oh, looking good btw![]()
Don't forget to bend your clutch cable before you put the engine in! Bugger to do with engine in. You're still going XE right?
That is such a clean looking shell! Love the way a prepped Nova jacks up like that, I was a bit freaked 1st time mine did that.
