Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"

The brakes as everyone has said are lighter. I'm only using these until I can get my lightweight billet 4 pots. It will also reduce the extra pedal travel on a v6 caliper On a track/race car the least Unsprung weight you have the better. I'm hoping to get some Compo TH3's in the future.

    Yes Ali unisports

Beenie thats when you comparing to big V6 calipers, i'm using 16v calipers so you'll find theres more than that still

    like a saint-9points
you can modify the cavalier master cylinder/servo unit to fit the nova and that will sort out the pedal travel for the v6 stuff. the extra braking power would outweigh the extra few kilos im very sure

Well as I say these are temporary. 4 pots will outweigh V6 anything!

    Todays work!
    I worked hard today

Primed all the welds and grinds...

Coilovers on, Drums painted in silver (too Chavy?) wheel arches coated till i waxoyl it all. I bashed in the inner arches a lil bit!

New front brakes (new to me, summer to 0ddball) The 284mm (cosworth?) discs with 16v calipers modified to fit. They ARE lighter than V6 stuff btw.

The new wheels on the car. The car has been raised to approx the ride height i'm going to run.

Do you ever think to yourself 'this is a good idea' and leater turns out NOT to be!? Well the passenger arch has a bit of bubbling so I got my trusty mate, copper mallet' and hit it a bit... then sidecutters came out as the rust was slightly worse than expected and it cracked lmao Oh well, I need ONE arch replaced!

Closer look at front brakes under Matt black Cesaro wheels. Hopefully the stick-on wheel weights clear the caliper.

Trial fitted the drivers seat. Was a nightmare to get in TBH Got the drivers seat in SPOT on now. The passenger one is easier as the passenger doesn't need to reach the pedals. lmao

Got Traci in some overalls, to hold the spanner as I went under the car to tighten seat mount bolts.

While I was waiting the drill battery to charge, I proceded to 'loom' the rear. I have removed the wiring to the rear wiper and window heater! I got the colours if anyone wants them, ask and i'll share

And re-insulated...looks like std, only that there are about 4-5 wires less

Drivers seat in. With 3 point harnesses.

View of how it seats. I personally think it's nice like this Also think handling will prefere it like this... Has so much travel! Oh and it's been raised 68mm from how it was lmao

looks great tho..wheels look really good..love the coilovers...
all tho,the front brakes...the pad doesnt touch all of the disc from the look of it..so theres a lot of waist there...

and yeah we've all sat there point a bit on the car..and thought "i should stoo"...ah piss

The jacking up on seals was just to check the caliper-wheel weight clearance. I must admit though not the best thing to do. They seemed ok, kept a good eye on it. Out of pic, but if you jack the front up, the rear follows at the same height! Should mean a good solid shell
