Ok this sunday the nova will be getting worked on! Are people who read this thread interested in the coupe? If so I may combine the two in one thread. I did have a Coupe build thing going on but as I don't work on it all the time, I don't bother updating. So shall I keep ya updated on that too?

Todays NOVA update!
Once again thanks to Lee... I'm sure he and Brian will agree my x member was quite shocking! TBH it was lucky my recent crap happened! Pictures will hopefully explain all.

My crossmember once we removed the rad...

Yes they are holes, and the was only one corner of metal left. I'm sure you'll agree EVEN standard mount would of had this problem!

This was the better side!

With a lil play with the pliers this was unvealed!

As you can see it hasn't happened in the last few months! So hopefully it's sorted once and for all (I don't doubt it is for a second). Basically method of repair was, cut away crap metal, fit some box section and re plate. I feel my crossmember must be in the top 5 for strength now

Finished article is...

Drag spec support.

Removed the heavy wing bolts, and have 4 bolts (rather than 10) holding the bumper on! Also removed std oil cooler that did nowt

Did you not weld around the tca mont bit plates? Mine where a bit crappy there too, think most novas are from rads leaking over the years..

nice pics mate, am very glad we fixed that today tbh, whether it had my tie bars on it or not, it was pretty bad under there

oh and yes, you did a great job of the wing bolts, and dont make a bad cup of tea either!

corsas do that too, mine was getting scabby so i plated them up.

those now look bomb proof

Its a place no one looks at.. till like you you remove the rad or tca and start poking witha screw driver.. before you know it your plating the world.

There was noticable play at PV (hence I did a 14.3 (or whatever) and went home early). Basically it was the crossmember moving! Would like to emphasis infact THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH LEE'S KIT! Just my shonky nova

! I would happily have him do me another set in the future if I ever crashed this nova! If there is need for further proof of this, view the vid of Lees nova at the ring, he hits every curb!

I refuse to believe the facts and it HAS to be Lee's kits that caused the problem.

Oh yeah hang on... there's some facts now....

Oh funk it - I'll still blame it on Lee's kit.

Good fix lads and obviously a heads up for all nova (and corsa) owners to have a good prod about in those areas (especially the trappy gob-****e ones).
