J18 Progress Thread (replies sponsored by Benn)

Benns picture of my car reminded me own this

May remember the fact my 16v expired the day before PVS, decide to take the engine out and tody up the bay

What it looked like together in its most current guise

After find there was a few point i was unhappy with decide to remove the wax il on the arches

Then decide to stip the paint off and go back to bear metal on some bits

Well thought i better crack on as lots to do, and looks like the paint work sould be done soonish, so needs to get bits done

Some wiring removed



A tidy working place allows lots of progress :look:

plan is, respray, either in white or orange, new engine (smallblock) and some other stuff

Some more **** removed

New tank and lines will go in at some point




No rust here




Next step is to prob now get the engine bay and underneath sandblasted, gonna be expensive to get it done right, but want it 100%

isnt everyday car is it...
so why not full cage is...

because of the £££ of it

car is allready so much stiffer than it was, feels so diffrent going in to corners

i wanted a full cage because its cool, no other reason, as it will make it heavier, money spent on that means i couldnt afford the TB set up
