top work with the glass dude i remember doing loads of "glassing" when i put the nova engine in my boat i ended up in some mess for some amount of time worth it in the end thow keep up the spectacular work
dream project lotus carlton lump in a viva on ms and 2.1 bar!
Stupid question, but the vents and lights look like the mould will have to be released forwards. With the Naca style vent depressions, will the mould actually release?
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"
it should pop forwards and off i reckon, the vents will be the sticking point, but if it goes forwards and up it should be fine, soon find out anyway!

Like Lee says, should pop off forwards.
Anyway, finished for today. Have run out of energy and resin :-)
Added some strengthening and a layer of thinner CSM.
It's not going to win any beauty awards, but the important bit is the inside.
Brian made it too, his wiring loom is looking much better.
Am back on monday, hopefully with more fibreglass. The plan is to release it on monday :-/ and then add any extra strength to the mould, plus make a stand for it for laying up purposes.

MIG.....Made In Greece LOL
Just done a massive fibreglass order, will be with me on Tuesday. Will be enough to make a few panels, moulds and plugs.
Lets see what state it's in on Monday. Am not in a rush though, there's plenty to get on with. The MR2 needs a clutch for a start, then there's a diff carrier, engine mounts, transmission tunnel, back axle etc to make.

looks amazing, it's come out really well for a first ever moulding effort! Brian has the photos... :-D

Released from the mold (Which was remarkably easy for the size of the thing - just goes to show how well prepped it was! ;-) ):
The plug is in more than good enough condition to be re-used, there were only a few tiny spots of gel coat sticking and one small bit of damage, but then it's a use-once thing anyway! lol
...and then the obligatory getting excited and sticking it on a *nearly* finished car! lmao
Adds a bit more width, but I think my wheels fill the arches nicely! lmaocongrats to Animal and this thing has come out really well. For a first ever molding project, it was pretty ambitious, but it's come out absolutely fine!

looks even better IRLlooking forward to seeing a fresh front clip pop out of that soon
went up today and fixed my oil leak, was easy enough just a new o ring needed, then did about 40 miles in the car, no issues to report, other than i have to control myself as it drives very well, so is hard not to just gun it lmao
brian is cracking on too, wiring away, i found some time to paint his boot today too...
looks great, the white spoiler really breaks up the orange well, cant believe how close we are to getting in the cars and going to spa, gonna be epic!

Top banana, glad the nova is back on form.
Brian's boot looks awesome. How did you do the masking (as I'm tempted to test my theory that the manta needs a viper stripe ) :-)
Last night was quite entertaining, Had a look at the mould, did the coin test (which it passed very easily), and then it just sort of inevitable...
