Just don't see much advantage in covering every inch of every wire, and then not being able to see the wire. Personal opinion too, a bit like those sticky-base cable tie fixings - should never have been "invented" FFS! lmao

    Re: Lee's Garage

fair enough. I just like the neat all black look and the extra protection but its a pain in the arse for diagnosis I agree. You just running twists and regular ties?

Have you reached the point with the to do list where the resolution increases from "fit engine" to " remember to fit lower left rear manifold bolt" and hence doubles in length?

Don't like cable ties too much on wires either. lmao Fussy git! I twist with a drill and the twist is tight enough to keep the wires paired, then just cable tie and necessary to keep things separated and routed correctly. One connector has the crank and cam sensor, and the alternator light + enable line, the second connector has all the other sensors on, and the third has the injectors, coil pack and water pump.

...and yes, that is why my TODO list seems to be increasing because the jobs are starting to get more granular. Hopefully start ticking them all off this week coming though. Not long to go now. Booked mapping for the first Thursday in May for 4pm.
