righty, more nova love tonight, although i did also change seom lifters on a mates G60 golf, which is lovely…

but can you spot anything wrong with this picture??

seems to me a cam bearing is totally missing?????

caps are even numbered, 1, 2, 3, 5!!! any golf experts shed any light??
it also badly needs a dyno, hlding it at 3k to give the new lifters a chance made the manifold glow bright red!!!

anyways, like i said, nova, finally got round to doing the cambelt…so bumper/splitter off first

then off with the camcover, line it up, belt off yadda yadda

then stuck the new one on and put it back together

after that i started the oil change, draining the tank, running the pump with a drill to get all the oil out the engine, and then took the tank out for cleaning


will finish that on the weekend, also, it seems the cat can get in fairly easily, judging by the evidence on brains new boot lmao!

Hopefully getting the nova back on the road today, its not quite up to shonky opel standards yet though!

i don't think they are no, but who knows?? my guess is the head was dropped at some point when it was being built, and either someone didn't notice, or someone didn't say anythinglmao as for the belt, got it from my local autofactors, as a kit for my application, 18xe1 with no water pump!!, doesn't existlmao
