on monday i received this email at 9.31 am

I MUST AGAIN APPOLOGISE FOR OUR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
AS THEY MADE THE COMPLETE WRONG BELLS FOR YOUR CAR
THEY WERE MADE FOR A MANTA
WE ARE MAKING YOU A NEW PAIR AND WILL HAVE THEM ANODISED
IN SILVER AND GET THEM TO YOU ASAP

so fair enough, i'm not happy but i if get some correct bells i will forget about it

they still have not turned up today, so i ring roy, he says he was waiting for me to get back to him before he went ahead with the new bells

I MEAN WTF!!! it says in the email he is already making them, now he says they're not even started, and then, because i'm not happy, he tells me 'not to start all this again' or he will put the phone down, prick! told him to put the phone down and get a new job if he cant deal with his own companies **** ups, sent him an email telling him i expect a refund on the cost of the bells at least or i will have to go to small claims, no reply yet, ****ING WANKERS!!! DO NOT USE HI SPEC EVER!!

Just an interesting note: The bells also don't fit a manta, the centre bore is wrong, and the holes should not be tapped, they should be 10mm+clearance thru. The PCD was at least right, but everything else is wrong. So I suspect the Manta owner is not best pleased either!!

righty, today i finally fully bolted up the brakes, with my modified bells

then i had a little play with the rear spoiler as it needed a strengthening plate on the inside to stop it ripping off at speed, and attached my little struts too


was then meant to go for a drive but the poxy thing flooded its plugs and flattened the battery, giving me the right hump so i went home instead, may drive it tomorrow but i feel like death warmed up at the minute, so might be next week, frustrating day really…

brains V is looking bloody great though…

the engine was only £100 remember, i imagine the proper engine will get a belt guard of some sort

yup, totally stock apart from his ported heads electric waterpump and dry sump, will get him to germany etc this year so he can take his time on the proper build

righty, finally drove the nova! the bloody throttle bodies have slipped not the throttle spindle again though so it was missing like a bitch, so tbs will have to come off after all, as it appears the grub screw wont hold the shaft, even fully tightened up, was nice to see it actually move though, will try to sort the problem out tuesday evening, did wash it though…





and brian is still cracking on, messing about with the fuel rail today so it will fit the pecos and had measured his prop up so that can be made..


we have also invented the 'double hoody' look for the garage, which may become standard apparel if the weather doesn't brighten up!!
