That is great work Lee, and lovely welding.

My mates car is off to Adrenaline Race and Performace on wednesday for basically the same thing.

tbh though cant see anything wrong in your design and obviously the DIY theme keeps the costs down a lot, top work
Welding and fabrication, custom roll cages, cnc parts + lots more PM me

What kinda drop have you gone for on the front bracket over standard?

Do you think a kit could be made to account for us f28 boys?

hi mate, i went for around 25mm drop, but really you could put them as low as you like, clearing the f28 shouldnt be a problem as the back is a bit lower than stock too, although i would need to look at one before i say for definite

jon, cheers mate, i reckon they're plenty strong enough which is all they need to be really

    just a small update,
started the wiring, decided to have two runs for the bay, one on either side going back to a central grommet in the fire wall, and also decided to use this stuff to cover it

nice mesh style covering, should blend in well with the engine bay paint, as i dont like hiding wires inside the wings for fault finding purposes, so will run it here

and the same for the other side
that done i thought i'd whip the sump off and have a look at the bearings on the engine, which i will replace before re fitting, so round she went on the stand!

also finally got reound to making a nice bracket for my fuel reg to mount to the engine

more wiring next week(having a day off tommorow!) so thats all folks!

I'm probably wrong but thought I'd throw my opinion in anyway, but isn't mounting the fuel reg on the engine a bad idea due to vibration?

Thats a 2wd cosworth regulator which is bolted to a yb inlet manifold normally so can't imagine there would be a problem.

it'll be fine, lots of engines have them bolted to the fuel rail

Envious of your progress Lee (as usual).

How vital are verniers to the output of the engine? Mine has Schrick cams, Mantzel inlet & I might get a BTB manifold. Would the verniers reign in many more ponies in your opinion?
I doubt I'll look to TBs in the future however.

verniers have the advantage of tiny adjustments to rinse out a few more ponies, only worth it if you intend whack it on a rolling road to be setup, otherwise just good to loom at.

Kinda knew that but was asking Lee as he knows these engines rather well (not saying you dont)
I guess it is only the last loose horses to round up, so to speak.
