Did you actually get a final map done on the engine ? | cheers mate and yup, got 193, which was a bit dissapointing, but the bottom end has done three trips to nurburg! made a good spread of torque though, which is nice |

| Not exactly shy and if you got good torque too then I bets its plenty.
Any plans to mess about with it some more or is that engine staying put for a while ?

| Sounds promising Lee !
Tbh you have more than enough power now, and you are right to make it handle 100%
I don't think many people on here have ever got close to getting a nova to handle well, they might think they have, like I thought I had, but after driving a Clio cup round the ring last week I accept that my car handled like a bag of spuds and there is a lot more to it than a LSD and some shiny coilovers. |

| you're right jon, not many people go into castor/camber angles, corner weights etc etc, but i will!
anyways, more progress!
cut off the old weak, manky towing eye first, cos it was weak, and er...manky!
then started to replace metal, rather than remove it!
boxed the chassis back in
tacked the crossmember in place
found the original wings from the shell in the garage, so that helped with the mocking up process
so, all going great guns, got a week off next week, so will probably try to get it nearly all repaired by the end of it |

Oh, Jonlem, my nova handles properly | Shame its as quick as my cav in a straight line though eh
I'm quite sure a big block could handle well if you dumped the HH front end setup on it etc.. but not in comparison to a stock clio for example as I cant imagine what one of those would be like if stripped with coilovers and a diff.
I'm sure I may shut my mouth if you either you or Lee offer to take me out in your cars at a trackday but I'll probably be too busy coming past you sideways |

Been at a few MLR trackdays when thats been there, absolutely awesome. |

| LOL, I would not be one bit suprised if you give me hassle on track, I'll never doubt a nova again after the fun I had with mine.
I've not been out in a good track prepped escort yet but from what we all know they should handle very well, wether I can drive one fast round a track is another matter !
Not heard of Mellow but I'll take a guess at that wide arched 4x4 mk2 thats multi coloured ? If so I've not seen it go, but I know its got shed loads of h/p so must be lethal. |

| Cant take anything away from your car Lee, its bloody awesome.
I'd like to do some track days with you lot really as I'm always up for a laugh, also can't beat the sound of NA and I'd really like to grab a spare seat in yours or DHdevs sometime.
I will ofcourse return the favour with as many sideways laps till we get thrown off the track |

| just a lil tip it might be better if you remove your track conrol arms and anti roll bar as when i fitted mine it was holding the crossmember forward and not letting it sit fully back or you could simply push the down out off the way

| Glad you've got lots planned Lee, wouldn't want you getting bored now would we
Jonlem, passenger rides are always available, as long as you're not a fatty
Mellow is a green mk2, with a 2.1 pinto iirc (sorry i don't know more, trust me this thing is faster than pretty much anything!). It runs rings round the MLR boys and looks and sounds awesome.
Heres a lil pic.
Sorry for the thread hijack lee!!! |

Nice one!
And lol, my seats are rather snug, due to the fact that I'm built like my car |
