So Ian didn't get to do any detailing this time then? Just proper work! I shall be sure to mention his non-modding commitment next time he's up! lol

no, he did bring some bicuits though, which was nice, and i remember him muttering about wanting to do something to the front bumper involving a machine and some polish, but i thought it best not to delve too deep into what he meantlmao

    Re: Lee's Garage

righty then, well, the 'other nova' has left the garage on its way for an MOT, which gave me time to get mine done for brands on wednesday, primarily meant getting the tracking done, which proved to be a bit of a ball ache thanks to no one having the old school dunlop gauges and me having a low bumper, so one bumper-less trip to hemel this morning saw it done, i was onnly .8mm out by eye though also revealed the rear toe is a touch excessive on the o/s so will sort that tuesday evening
seeing as it was so nice today i even gave it a wash

then just did a bolt check and general once over, fingers crossed the weather holds out till then

nah its on 6 quarter turn fasteners, so fairly easy, just winds me up that no one can deal with a car with a fairly low front end, need my own gauges badly!
    cannot bloody wait till wednesday!

looking sweet man. I agree those old school optical guages are the way forward.

I quite happily kick in some cash on a communal set if I get to use them when I need to

Greetings! Been following this build for a while now and thought I might as well register and say hello. lmao

Lee have you thought about using good old-fashioned string to track your car? Can be more accurate than all the new fangled laser jobbies if done properly.

Got to say its been a good read, keep up the good work!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"

    Re: Lee's Garage

Yeah me and Lee are looking for a setup so we can do our own stuff! So annoying the excuses people make! Or when they tell you, the tracking is straight however the steering wheel needs removing and re positioning!! Er if thats the case the tracking isn't straight! You should never move the steering wheel from original position!

thanks for the kind words i really want to make a setup frame that bolts to the car as it goes, then i can make a string 'box' around the car and do it that way, as you say, can be much more accurate, and i'll look like, waaaaaaaay cool in the pitlanelmao
