ok, bit of a slow one today, i'm knackered, and i needed to remove some bits off the GT4 for matt now he kinda cant!lmao
so, made a top mount for the alternator out of bits of my old one, which was half golf half nova iirc

it doesnt move at all so i doubt any extra bracket will be needed
then i just fixed a small bit of rot i've been meaning to do, usual place, the crash exposed it somewhat though

one stepped plate, one flat plate and the welder later,

next job is to final fit the front wings(steel ones, coming monday) and then paint the bay and wings
then i can make the front suspension arms, do the wiring and look at what 15's i wanna get

What are you using to form the steel Lee ? Thats a nice looking plate you've made !

Catch tanks sits well, you have soooo much room with the top panel removed.

How do the gears feel now with the new linkage ?

I met a guy on a trackday recently using the Quaife setup but his was dogleg as he couldn't work out how to get it right, I did mention that he should have a word with you as you had sorted it, can't remember his name though lol

hi mate, thats the work of our 6 tone press and a former, it rocks for stuff like that!

as for the linkage, its great, feels really smooth and precise, and yeah, i ran mine with a dogleg for a while, thats what happens if you use the stock '?' shaped linkage on the box, you also get a longer side to side throw, much better direct

it'd definately be good to actually talk to you properly instead of being really hung over and non comunicative!

Howcome your fuel filter is in the engine bay? is it not better to have it nearer the tank so the fuel lines don't get crap in them?

sounds good mate, filter is in the bay to make it easy to clean/get to, it doestn really matter where you filter the fuel, just as long as its before the engine and you have some sort of strainer to keep the big lumps from reahing the pump from the tank

Its part of daily routine now! Get up around midday, have shower, eat cheese on beans on toast, watch American Hotrod at 1pm, go to work. Drives my boss up the wall as he'd like me out working mornings too! (sod that!)

I think if I ever won the lottery I'd just sit at home all day mincing with cars.
