Few pics of my corsa turbo project

hubs and shafts goin on this weekend, fill up the gearbox, make a temp exhaust and some kinda temp cooling system and let it tick over for a little bit.............let it cool then do it again....lol. want to run it in nicely!!!

nearly there now mate and looking good too ive got the same jobs to do on mine make an exhaust sort out cooling temp and fill the f28 with oil oh and a few wires

have been working on the car tonight, have got the outer cv joints on the shafts, got the m-tec big hubs pressed into the hub assembly's with new bearings, have fitted up the 2.0 16v brakes, fitted a shortened down pipe, and fitted all new bushes in the gear linkage (inside the car) gears are nice now, just waiting for inner joint to turn up tomorrow fingers crossed so i can get the shafts in and fill up the gearbox and get it ticking over for a bit........

how come your turbo cover has an extra cut out at the front on the right hand side?

no mostly new parts........lol

simps, no prob for the info........and i dont no why the tubby cover has a cut out, all i can think is that it is a secondhand one that sum1 had mounted summat under it??? i can only think it would be a fuel press reg??? but its in the wrong place really!! im gunna get a new cover tho, dont want any holes on it, reins the look....lol

prob cause the silicon hose that ran to the tophat was being dug into by the edge of the tophat cover hence u then have to hacksaw a new curve so it wont rub

Its not the curve I'm on about Adam. Its on the front edge of the cover. Almost like a mirror image of the cutouts for the breather pipes on tother side. Its no biggy to fix, but I just wondered if he'd done it for a reason.

That intercooler is huge compared to the one on my Corsa LET, that could expalin why I coooked it! Where did you get that one from, also how much did it set you back?

got the remainder of my coolant hoses today so the cooling system is now all plumbed in, just waiting fof the fan to turn up............still waiting for my boost pipes from demon tweeks tho grrrrrrrr, took the money from me, also paid extra on the carrage and the hoses aint even in stock!!!!!!!!

once my inner cv boot turns up the shaft on the n/s can go on and it will drive!!!!!!!!!! yey

finally got myself a cv boot today (inner) fitted the joint and shaft etc and it was ready for a test run........unfortuatly a little problem with a stupid brake pipe meant it had no brakes but it was only in the car park where our unit is............its a beast, runs nice and pulls really well.........not really touching boost tho, cant wait to get it on the road now!!!!!!!!!

i drove it around the car park, the exhaust is still just the down pipe cut off...........but felt really good, the clutch is wicked, and the gears feel really nice! the suspensions is also really stiff and all feels tight like i wanted it to! i just cant wait to get it on the road now!! going to try and sort the brakes tomorrow but got alot of work to do on my bros pulsar

ill be there, but just a quick update........i drove the car for the 1st time today (was ready to drive on fri night but the brake pipe decided to leak!! so no brakes...) so made a new brake pipe yesterday, bled the brakes and took it down the private road at my workshop.......my god its fast!! didnt really give it any as im still running it in, but christ!! couldnt believe it!!!!! want it on the road now!!!!!!!!!
