my plans are to get it on the road for march sort of time??? the things that i still need to get are.... flywheel and clutch, turbo recon for now (stage 2),timing belt and a few other bits and bobs for the engine, conversion kit, pipes and intercooler are the main things.....
i was going to spray my sump up tonight........but i started to clean it up and before i knew it, i looked like this...lol
i thought this is the better option to painting it as it looks better and at least there is no possibility of the paint flaking off (going over rough ground and catchin it etc). i can always give it a quick buff up to if i need to. i havent gone over board with it as its not exactly on show but at least it looks shiney when its up on the ramp

yeah keep with it, if you need parts i wold recommend steveboyslim!! Im really glad i didnt skimp on the internals of my engine!!

he supplied me all my stuff at a good price, he can get parts that are eqivelant to gewnuine parts, basically vauxhall rings are 40 per cylinder = 160 + vat and he will get you a set of glyco rings for only £60. i would advise the head stud kit too, quite expensive to buy, but once youve got them, you got them for ever, they can be re-used. also with alot of the cylinder blocks threads a bit poor at least once there in you have no worries!!

Ill see what happens, My best buddy is an engine builders, im sure would be happy to supply at cost... but thanks for the heads up.. Ill probably get my ATB diff from steve, his prices are good.

looking good, mine needs the bonnet and bumpers put on, but i like the calibra at the mo, maybe i should take the corsa out for another blast before the weather turns to bad, have you decided on what hubs your using yet.
This looks like a good fun project! Glad to see you're doing it properly.
Only thing I would have dne differently tho i chosen and fitted up the intercooler. Its gonna be a shame to have to cut or weld into that fresh paint!

i have already covered that mate!! lol, forge do a nice sized front mount which fits right along the front without having to cut away any of the front!

right havent updated for a while but that was mainly due to waiting for parts to come back from powder coaters etc
so here are a few pics of where im upto now! hope you like it
ordered my lightened billet flywheel which should be here next week, also just sent cheque off for new alternator bracket from paddy at pkp enginering.............more updated to come soon!

upadate...... lightweight billet flywheel has arrived, and have fitted new cambelt, tensioners and idlers, also fitted up the cambelt cover, starting to come together now
will get some pics up asap.........still waiting for my alternator bracket to turn up tho!!!!!! has been weeks
going to buy clutch after xmas, so then the gearbox can be put on and apart from the turbo it will be kinda ready (turbo is going for stage 2 upgrade) but i can put that on when it is in place as the rad etc is all out.......just wanna get the engine sitting in the car now !!!
